Glad you learned who 'Mark Wills' is! haha Great to meet ya. Thank you for reacting to our video with Home Free. When we released this song in 1998, it meant so much to hear people's stories and how it touched their lives. So thankful for a new generation to hear this! Appreciate you, man! God Bless you and your message. You are so correct about how TikTok and social media affects us. BE YOURSELF! Love that message

One of my all time favorite Mark Wills songs. Came out in 1998. Home Free and Mark sound amazing together. The woman next to Mark is his daughter Macey. She has a beautiful voice too. This song always makes me emotional because I'm almost 50 and have been bullied my whole life including from my own family. And I have a 10 year old daughter who is autistic and she deals with bullying too. This song is so needed right now. Like J-Hope from BTS says in his song Equal Sign "Hate will paralyze your mind, got to see the other side. It cost you nothing to be kind."

This song always makes me cry. Kudos to Jennalee for her artistic interpretation in American Sign Language. I've been signing for 44 years. My daughters have Usher's Syndrome. They were born deaf and retinitis pigmentosa was diagnosed when they were 5 yrs and 10 years old. It has taken most of their vision now. When they were young,I would put the speakers face down on the floor so they could feel the music and then sign the songs to them. They gained an appreciation for music. Both took adaptive modern dance. Thank you Dave for your heartfelt comments.

A beautiful collaboration. Mark Wills is a great singer. And then my favorite group Home Free in the background sounds fabulous and heartbreaking. A beautiful song and video with a sad subject and important message. I know what bullying is. Not by children, but by the teachers. My father taught me never to show your weakness. So I didn't tell anyone. I let it go and thought I could handle it. But I developed a fear of failure and inferiority complex about it. Fortunately, I had and have very dear family and friends around me, who unconsciously dragged me through it. It was only when I was 57 years old that I went to therapy for it. It's so good that it's getting attention. Because bullying has to end. Think about what you're doing to someone like that.

Released July 1998, I was almost 37, married almost 18 years, had 4 sons 12, 15, 16 and 17. Having three in high school and one in middle school. We dealt with some bullying. Mostly a lot of insecurities in the teen years….oh my! Whenever this song came on the radio, the volume got turned up and I told me sons to listen to the words, really listen. I do believe that it did have an impact on them. Sometimes it takes someone else to say what Momma & Daddy are trying to say. Today my “boys” are 36, 39, 40 and 41. They have all grown into respectful and respected men. I’m definitely not saying that they were or are perfect. But it’s music/songs like this that have a massive and long lasting impact. I tear up every time I hear it. ❤️
@barbarakennedy26672 жыл бұрын
I think you might mean it creates a false idea of perfection or ideal beauty. No one is perfect and that is ok. Get used to that. Stop judging people by impossible standards that can never be achieved. Just be kind. Home Free fully believes this and spreads that love everywhere they can. This is why we love them.

The fact that you were able to not be over affected by being bullied tells me you had a lot of love and support at home…it’s where it all begins to avoid “making” bullies…and yes…customer service has taught me sooo much about human nature…and working in the food industry really honed my time management skills…the lady singing is Mark’s daughter…I’ve heard he wrote the song for her a long time a go…the 2 kid actors evidently do have their own TikTok accounts…and social media is such a double edge sword..bringing information while establishing unrealistic expectations on boy boys and girls…Thanks for the reaction…🤗

Was looking forward to your reaction to this, Dave. Wasn't aware of Mark Wills or the song prior to Home Free posting this video. Great collab helping to bring awareness, although, it's unfortunate that there even needs to be an 'Anti-Bullying' month. :( Given how many of us can relate, this has inspired conversation and, for those who view it, to share painful memories and experiences. BTW, one reactor indicated that the featured young man has a huge TikTok following (I don't do TT) and is supposedly the CEO of '21 Pineapples.' Good on him. ETA: have seen mention that the woman in blue singing with Mark is his daughter.

This song has always been heartwrenching and thought provoking. I think the sing you're thinking of is Everybody Walkin This Land. And they also did One Voice ft Billy Gilman for mental health awareness 2 years ago. I think you'd like the original video to this song as well. It's hard to believe it's nearly 25 years old. Another Mark Wills song that'll grab you by the emotions is Wish You Were Here. And, yes, once again Home Free has put an important message out in front of people, drawing attention to the bullying that still happens way too often. As always, no egos here. The music, the message are the important part. I'm always glad to hear your thoughts on your reactions. Thank you! ❤

Just like a school zone i pass every morning. 8 year kids walking speed limit is 20mph , her in Texas , how many people do you personal believe drive 20 mph . With very young kids walking 5 feet from the road . Think god my kids are grown now but the number is very very low . My point is if everyone had a good home , a car money in the bank equally . Would we all be the same or knowing what you do about your customers some want more because they are better then you . And that this worlds problem . Love your reaction , love listening to you life stories we had some same issues and im glade to know im not alone . Love you brother . We all perfect wings would be great !
