Not 35 years, they formed in 1994, that’s 27 years. Cristina is amazing and was put on a metal magazine cover in the 2000s as the most beautiful woman in metal. She’s beautiful inside and out and an inspiration

Coincidentally i was looking through recent Lacuna Coil reactions when you posted these. Have been a fan for years and years but they don't seem to get the recognition they deserve. Cristina is amazing and many of us think of her as the Queen of metal. It seem she gets better with age. I would suggest you check out Blood tears dust from the 1 19 show.

Cristina is truly amazing. The whole band is fantastic and the fact that they're all nice and down to earth humans it's a great plus. They really deserve more recognition.

@@julyriver8851 i have seen them a few times and they blew me away. Such a full sound that you can feel as well as hear. I haven't spent much time conversing with Cristina or Andreas lately but for a while they would take the time to respond to me when I would comment or send them a message. I have almost downloaded twitch because she is on there all of the time. Haha

I think maybe you're confusing them with another band...to my knowledge she sings clean, yes amazingly, but I've never heard Christina growling?...Andreas their other vocalist only recently started "extreme" vocals two albums ago...Lacuna Coil is like that bottle of wine, once a good heavy rock/metal band, which over time matured, and aged wonderfully into something progressively heavier, and much better

"bad things" is another interesting song by them. She does the chorus where it's the same words over again for a lot of it but she does them all like different pitches / notes (idk music theory but she does them differently lol) and it's just super virtuosic / unique, pure genius how she does it. It almost sounds like she's saying different words like when she says "bad things" because she says them so differently each time.

They are considered to be Gothic Metal band. I know Cristina and Andre. Worked with them in Philadelphia for a show. They aren’t really dark it’s more for a gimmick for them.

Love Cristina. Now, you are too charitable to the pop singers. Even mid-tier metal divas blow away any of the big-name pop stars. And even if a pop singer has more chops, the industry doesn't let them use them. The U.S. music industry, including the media who cover them, should be collectively frog marched into a gulag and forced to listen to Barry Manilow at 150 decibels non stop for a year. That would show them.

I fucking love the growl when they both say "endless" at the same time, the deep and high voices combining..man pure genius music from LC these last few years. It's everything I thought Evanescence would become after "bring me to life" but instead that band went to complete shit, lost all members and became Amy Lee band hiding behind the brand name Evanescence.

at 16:00 you mentioned it sort of but used Linkin Park as example, just got to that part haha another great example. "hybrid theory" was all about mixing rock and rap. Evanesence "bring me to life" was more of mixing female with male vocals and it sounded really good. They did it even more before they were big, like in high school or whenever they came up with their first 2 albums

Oh skillet was another, which you mentioned earlier in the video, combining male / female vocals and doing it really well
