As always a great Lara reaktion, thank you Yusuf. This song is about Quebec and her love for it and how she misses it. This was the first tour after she left Quebec and i think she was moved to witness that the french audience ( here ) loved the song and knew the words by heart already.

Let me explain why Lara is so moved here: she wrote this song when she was forced to moved away from Quebec and back to Belgium, for family reasons. She moved back to Quebec a few years later. She wrote this song as a tribute to Quebec. It was a brand new song, very poetic, very personal, when she performed it in this Paris concert and she was surprised and moved when the french audience proved to already know perfectly all lyrics and that the song could impact fans outside Quebec. “Je me souviens” (I remember) is the official tagline of the Quebec province, exposing that this part of Canada is inheriting 3 different cultures (amerindian, english, french), and is even written on all car license plates over there.
