They're not required to sign the licensing deal.Thats what Pat Macfee explained. They're pocket watching and discussing a legal issue of which the actual details they are not privy to. Every plaintiff is not in the right, not to mention sometimes you just have to introduce litigation to make folks consider the cost of fighting it and to force them to give in or to to encourage a renegotiation of the deal. Sometimes fighting a lawsuit will cost more than winning it is worth.
