Yea cyberpunk when dlc drops will also drop huge update to the game with actual cop chases and driving ai and shooting from cars and all that

On the sense of urgency, I think I would've vastly appreciated a narrower focus. Instead of the heist to steal Soulkiller being essentially your 'tutorial' mission (because 80% of the map won't even open up until after you've done it), it would've been a better idea to have it come as a 'reward' for reaching a decently high Street Cred rank, like 25 or 30. Then, once you get Soulkiller, you get maybe 4, 5 in-game weeks to wrap up your life, make some big decisions, and then go on the final mission. That way they could've cut out a lot of the random chaff while upping the stakes. It would've also vastly upped the replay value. My first playthrough clocked in a nearly 200 hours, and I'm positive I didn't 100% all of the quests. I'm playing through it again a few hours every week and a lot of the story quests feel brand new because of how many extra sidequests as turn every corner, which is probably not a good thing.

While I do agree that having the Heist mission be something you actually have to work towards by building skill and rep, you never steal Soulkiller. Johnny's mind was ripped out of him by Soulkiller fifty years before the game and then copy/pasted onto the chip as a way to prove that the tech was fancy enough to sell immortality. The closest you get to interacting with Soulkiller itself is during the 'secret' ending (and during one of the Arasaka endings when you might have some conversations with certain special folks who've had it used on them).

I keep wanting to play this game. Bought it the first week it came out, played for an hour or two, then put it down. Was only running a 1080ti at the time and was a bit disappointed with what came out overall. So put it aside, waited for some updates. It got better, but was still running that 1080ti, but couldn't justify the money to upgrade to the 20 or 30 series. Finally upgraded my whole setup ryzen 9 7900x and the latest 4090. Played it for a bit, then heard about the new dlc and update coming up, so once again, waiting on playing it. It's definitely pretty ^_^
