WHO IS THIS ARTIST MORISSETTE AMON…? She is a Filipina singer-songwriter, rapper, dancer, multi-instrumentalist, and television personality. Born June 2, 1996 (age 24), Minglanilla, Cebu City, Philippines. Her family has always been into music, or musically inclined. Her father is a rocker. She was 3 years old when her family discovered her talent in singing. She used to sing when she was left alone with a karaoke machine. She joined her first singing contest held by a radio station in Cebu City, Philippines She first rose to prominence when she finished as a runner-up on TV5's Star Factor at the age of 14 and in 2012; she made her professional stage debut in the Repertory Philippines production of Disney's Camp Rock. Morissette became a recording artist of Star Music in early 2014 and released her first album. She is the first Filipino artist to have her own V-Live Channel, a popular South Korean live video streaming service for celebrities. This song, AKIN KA NA LANG “You are just mine” was published in 2015 and is written by Francis Salazar and is a finalist at the 2014 Himig Handog (Melody Offering) Pop-Pop Love Songs. The song: “Akin Ka Na Lang” was performed by Morissette LIVE on Wish 107.5 Bus, is an all-hits FM radio station based in Quezon City, Philippines and has truly gone out, beyond the conventional, to provide multiple platforms where great Filipino talents can perform live and showcase their music. Based on this FM radio station, as of February 2018, this song gained over 112,537,032 views, 418K likes; 20k dislike and 37,536 Comments. Though Morissette is sitting in this performance, but then she still performed this song beautifully. Her voice is mellow, soft, calm, whole, well modulated and in volume. I feel that her voice is really well cultivated and besides she can also reach a high notes and whistle too, which probably a result of her years of practice in her professional field and or she is really gifted with the grace for music. Upon listening to this live performance of Morissette, it conveys to me a kind of stability and deep reflection while fixing my focus in my mind on the lyrics of this song. Morissette natural and realistic facial expressions with a smile and body language while performing leads me to the message behind the song. A lyrics of the song says that: she has a love feeling to his friend, but it is not possible to happen because they are friend, but what she did: SHE PATIENTLY WAIT EVERYDAY IN PRAYER THAT THIS FRIEND OF HER WILL BE HER LOVER.
