LOL, I just love that! There are about 8 or more compilation videos on YT of all the reactors they could find going into shock when Morissette goes from the run right into that whistle run, so funny! Then she belts out that set of runs that's so long, without a breath. Wow! People have said she forgets she needs to breath to sing like that. I'd almost believe she has no other internal organs but a huge pair of lungs, but she also has a huge heart, too. Oh, and she loves to eat food as she travels, we've seen so many pictures... Well, anyway, it was a dumb analogy, but you get what I mean. Breath control for days.

That whistle and the previous note was one breath held for about 10 seconds or so. This was soon followed by phrases sung in one continuous breath lasting about 14 seconds.

Hi I’m new. U r very funny and sweet. Shook like many of us were when we first heard her. 🤣🤣 Welcome to the world of my favorite singer, performer, entertainer and musician in the world. She is live but sounds recorded!! She sings with her heart and is an incredible storyteller. She can play guitar and piano AND dance and sing for days too!! So much more than just a world class vocalist......please watch her 1)2017 Asia song festival or 2) Motown Medley or 3) J Lo medley.....but any of her 1327 performances on KZbin will do!!😜🤣 She should be an intentional star. you have now been Mori-fied ..... welcome to the club. I did some research for you. She was in season 2 of the Voice Philippines and wound up coming 3rd behind Klarisse de Gusman and Mitoy Yonting. At this point Mori is 24 and she was 16 when she auditioned for The Voice. Klarisse is one of my faves as well. Now go google their songs and auditions

Gitana dear, the way to pronounce the name of the song is "Ah-keen Kah Nah Lah-ng". I suspect though, you might have already figured that out upon listening and hearing it in the chorus. 😏 I also was gobsmacked the first time I heard it. This is now amongst my all time favorite songs ever.

Mori sings Secret Love Song in the 2017 Asian Song Festival and it blows the one you reacted to away because she is standing up and she is also pitch perfect in front of a Huge Crowd. Some K-pop vocal coaches watched it and when she was done with her second song the ladys reaction to the man coach was, Was that real? He laughed and said Yeah it was.

Dear Gitana, I think you missed it so I will tell you that she had 2 Dimash size long periods of singing with one breath. Before you get to her duets with men where she matches her hair color to the man she sings with PLEASE react to her sing Never Enough from the production of The Greatest Showman. She also has a song Fly Like A Bird where she actually sings words in a whistle note. And as a reminder, she was named after her dad's favorite singer Alanis Morissette just like I was named after my dad's favorite Shania Twain.🎶👱‍♀️👗👠👠💓

Hello, newbie here. So many foreigners have tried to replicate that but no one has matched her ability and prowess, and she is still so young. Thank you for your very positive reaction (which I expected). You are in for a ton of reactions because she has done a lot of covers in the wish bus as well as concerts. Morissette has the voice of an m angel. However, the reaction that you had was priceless. You showed true emotion, not only during the whistle notes, but during the entire song. They say that music has no bounderies ,which i truly believe,but i am also so pleased to inform you,that once you have found Morissette,you will shortly realize,that she has no bounderies when it comes to music,and can really sing any genre of song live ,mostly while sitting,and in many cases ,when it comes to covers,make it even sound better,than the original artist,and watch out for your emotions,as she will play with them,like no other female vocal artist you have ever heard.love your reaction Gitana,well done.
