Wow, I am not familiar with this artist or song so I have not seen/listened to the official one either that is referenced by a number of people here. Maybe I'll look for it. But I can say that this song, as we experienced it here with this video, was so hauntingly beautiful and I could see that it appealed to you as well. very nice emotional reaction Cynthia, but like others mentioned this isnt the official video so the camera doesn't capture her emotion and the audience crying which gives off the real intensity of the performance.

Hello, my dead Cynthia... first of all many thanks from the bottom of my heart for reacting to this video. It seems that you found a video of this song that was filmed from another angle, since the video that I know has different pictures from different camera angles, but nevertheless... the stage setting was incredible, did you see the artificial rain that was projected on the transparent curtains ? When Mylene took off her robe, this has a deep symbolic meaning. As you have figured out, in this song, she is about to die and talks to Jesus that she is afraid of it. But she accepts death at the end and wants to meet Jesus the same way he created her... I think I have read somewhere, that Mylene originally intended to go up the stairs completely naked, but she wasn't allowed to do that. If anyone knows better, please feel free to correct me... but what I have read, makes sense, somehow. Here's to your next reaction video, Cynthia !

Actually for her, even if I find live (sound wise) better, you should really check out the music videos! Her 80-90s mvs were like short movies, some even up to 17 minutes long.. they all have a complex story like that (often) she herself wrote.. she has always written her own lyrics, sometimes even composed some of her songs & also often writes the screenplay of her mvs (as I alr mentioned before)! What’s there not to love about her..

Hi Cynthia I am discovering your reactions to Mylène Farmer, an artist that I know and love from the very beginning of her career. Her shows are amazing but you should have a look to her original music videos and also to her appearances in 80’s French tv shows. Most of them were lip sync but this was the same for all artists. Sadly I can’t hear you very well when you’re speaking during the video, maybe either pause the song or make the video (song) sound lower when you’re speaking? Anyway! Those are actual water curtains she had!! First artist to ever do something like that.. also at the end you can see big golden gates closing, they were especially made for these concerts! 2006 was a 13 concert residency since the stage was too complex to go on tour, the stage budget was 20 million €
