You seem to have the rare ability to hear and dissect lyrical meanings and explain in understandable plausabilities with the best reactors out there.... and in a calm yet expressive way that is refreshing in this world of over-reactors... and I am also greatful that you take the time to explain your methods and why you are 'doing you' .... kinda like your own version of a 'paid my dues' on what U chose in humble fashion to get your views while subs U gain U shall not lose... Chance the Rapper and NF dropped albums at the same time. Rolling Stone trashed NF's album even though his sales were higher than Chance The Rappers.

“The Search” is also the name of the album. Critics were mad because it was number one on the charts, beating out Chance the rapper. Both released their albums at the same time. NF wrote “Paid My Dues” in one week, responding to the critics.

Good morning, This track was in response to smear articles written about NF by Rolling Stone and NYT after "The Search" album was released in July 2019. NF's, "The Search" album had beaten Chance the Rapper's album, released the same week. So basically, all these critics that don't know a thing about NF, stated that he is a "one trick pony" and only makes depressive music. Obviously, Nate had a lot to say and had to show them he's "Paid His Dues."

The band The Rolling Stones had a song Pay Your Dues, so when Rolling Stone Magazine trashed his album, The Search, he realesed Paid My Dues. Just some easily overlooked brilliance on NF's part.

Great reaction so far I am watching now! The search and the album the search came way before this song. In case you want more details from video: The black smile is the fake smile he talks about in his therapy session single. The balloons are his burdens which it was such a great visual he was bench pressing them. Burdens are heavy and weigh a lot. He speaks of levitating in his outro single. In when i grow up he said they ever push me im gonna swing well he is swinging in this lol a bat lol This was to the rolling stones article that trashed his second number one album when he beat out chance the rapper. The writer was a chance fan. Over 400 people in comments trashed that bastard lol He has his timbs in locker in this and wears combat boots he is showing he is at war Also in mansion single he says anger lives in the basement so we met anger in this single He teased his song lost at the end of this the one with hopsin.

Dave - I love what you are doing. The reason for the NF Journey list is because there is an over-arching story which connects videos and bars whereupon Nate drops clues in bars and videos about something in the future. Your algorithm has no way to factor the exponential growth that happens on the journey. 2 Reasons: First the NF Outcast find you but will not watch it if you are doing a song out of order. They just move on. Why? Because we are sick of people missing the connections. Or to put it another way, if you do the journey once you get to the Perception album many, many fans will jump on board and catch up with all of your previous reactions. This happens only if the songs are done in order. I have seen it a hundred times. That is because a lot of the Easter Eggs from the previous two albums are harvested in the Perception and Search albums. The Intro 3 reactions turn out to be epic for those who get what is going on. So the second reason you will grow a lot if you do the journey in order, is the fact that each new NF Journey fan who finds you will go back and watch all of your previous reactions. Honestly, we are all just waiting for people to do the journey in order because we want to see those epic reactions.
