Good Bye Bye is one of my favorite Nu'est releases. The song was released during a low point in Nu'est's career and it had so so much dark hidden meanings behind it like Ren exposing his abs and throwing up flowers was him wanting to show a more manly side of himself because up until then, he was known as the pretty boy , JR was chasing the fish like Nu'est chasing the fame that is just out of reach, and Baekho ripping off old wallpaper to expose a prettier one because he wasn't seen as good looking. There's a comment written on the MV section that explains it really well. Overcome was the start of Nu'est major storyline in their MV. It goes through to Bet Bet. Yeah that hair on Ren wasn't particularly good... it was really bad extensions that sometimes wasn't blended well.

Nu'est really should have a lil bit of more recognition, honestly, Baekho, Minhyun and Aron are amazing vocals (Aron it great at rap lines too) Ren is an amazing human being in general (He is my bias so bear with my love towards him, HE IS AMAZING AND FEARLESS AND I WANT HIM TO BE MY BEST FRIEND) and JR is a great rapper (and composer and producer, and a big ball of sunshine). THIS GROUP HAD IT ALL TO BE CHART BREAKING! (I edited this after some wine: kpop artist do recognise NU'EST as inspiring seniors, I think international fans should have more knowledge on them, so I thank u for doing all this reactions 💜)

Deja vu is hands down my favorite song by them! They also have an OT5 version of the song that they preformed when Minhyun came back and instead of them giving their parts to Minhyun they just added a whole new verse for him!

To sort of answer your question, 2010 to 2012 was right before kpop started going viral and at the time it was still considered a niche genre for international fans, so companies weren't getting as much revenue from the international market as they are now. So that could explain why the videos may look older than they are. It wasn't until about late 2014 to 2015 that we would see a jump in quality, however that still depended on the companies financial situation in pledis' case it was to say the least no great, but for companies like SM you could see the step up in quality for sure.

oh my god i also always feel like 2010 - 2013 kpop music videos look a lot older than they actually are! it's the color grading, the concepts, the quality (sometimes).. like there are legit some 2014 mvs that look like they were filmed on 2006 or something and there are some 2000's music videos that look PREHISTORIC lmao

The answer to your question is: No, i also felt that 2010's MV's seem to be older that they are. Sometimes i feel like the vibe is more like 2005 or 6-ish. I have come to the conclusion that is because the tecnology on todays MV's is so in your face, so out there... that it make everyting else look old fashioned even if is not that old really. Mainly with MV's that have those box sets, those feels old af cause none uses them anymore unless you are an small company that can't afford having an super production. Just my two cents on the matter... A little fun fact about NU'est: They are (as far as i know) the only kpop group to perform in my country (El Salvador), which is cool but a sad thing at the same time, because they were touring and promoting everywhere but SK and that made the lose the small fanbase they had over there and began to struggle to keep promoting as idols (terrible managment if you ask me).

I discovered Nu'est in 2015 thanks to KZbin , they're the first group and artists I've ever stanned (before I even knew what stanning was), I'm glad they're finally getting more recognition in Korea, even though they're still not international that well known, it's a shame that their company is still not the best at managing and promoting them.

I found nuest through seventeen’s covers. I loved the songs they were covering and so I would go find the original versions by nuest and fell down a hole of just listening to soooo much of their songs cuz gosh they have such addictive songs

omg more nue'st!! i just love them so much since i only stan 3 groups in my whole kpop journey. they hold a special place on my heart since they've been through so much hardships and they still decided to stick with each other until the end. (┳Д┳) i'm just so happy they're really a strong name now in kr ever since pd101, many people discovered how talented they are. Yes, and they also included in that storyline the fact that Minhyun was absent from the group. He has a song called Universe, and explains that while the boys were traveling trough dimensions and universes they got separated and Minhyun found himself alone in a mundane world living a life like a normal guy but then he remembered he has a mission and comes back to NU'est to fullfill it.

It's kind of weird to me that you're referring to NU'EST being 2nd generation group... to me everyone debuting from 2012 on are 3rd generation? I'm not sure of the border between 2nd and 3rd generation anymore lol... but yeah, to me 1st generation is the 90s, second the 2000s until 2012 and then we had 3rd generation... and now we're in the beginning of 4th one I guess? Basically 2nd generation started with Korean wave spreading through Asia and 3rd generation with it spreading to the west (with PSY and then BTS and everyone else lol). I'm curious what other people think? As for your question if it looks older than it really is I can't really tell simply because I've been listening to kpop since 2005, so it all came natural to me kind of? And I wasn't really that into western music at the time anymore anyway... especially pop, I never listened to western pop really..
