Although I enjoy most of their discography, IMO the quality improved immensely when Baekho started participating in the production of their music. I also think it's helped to solidify their sound, which is something NU'EST struggled a lot with in their earlier years. Not only is he able to make the kind of music he wants, he also takes into consideration each member's vocal colors/skill, strengths, and opinions. Anyway, thanks for reacting to NU'EST! They're a great group of guys and produce really great music, so it's a shame that they don't get as much attention.

From Overcome -> Love Paint -> Where You At (NU'EST W) -> Dejavu (NU'EST W) -> Help Me (NU'EST W) -> Bet Bet are all based on the concept the Knights & the Queen. The Queen in OVERCOME suddenly disappeared and this started the long journey to search for the Queen . BET BET put an end to the story and the last part of the mv seeing Minhyun (who has halted activities and promoted as Wannaone for 1.5 years) returned to the garden of utopia where his four brothers/Knights were waiting for him. This song is called FINE, which can be regarded as epilogue of the story and you can see the lines "They lived happily ever after" in JR's book. From Where u at onwards, all these title songs are produced by their main vocal Baekho (the blonde guy in BET BET mv.)

They made more music under NU'EST W coz their company wanted to take advantage of their popularity from Produce 101 but they used a different name because they didn't feel like they could promote under NU'EST without Minhyun with them :) Also, I can see why you didn't like their older stuff. I've loved them from the beginning but they kinda went through a moment in their career where they explored many different sounds/genres trying to find what suited them most and because of it, their fandom started decreasing but pretty much after Overcome came out (and the rest of the songs you just watched afterwards), as well as their popularity from Produce 101, they started regaining their fans and even newer fans because a lot of people liked this newer style of them more. The members agreed this style suits them more too and so they've stuck with it :D But yes, as others have said, they have a knight concept which explains the theme of their videos xD Thank you for your reaction though, I'm glad you liked them!!

I understand stand how you feel about not liking NU'EST songs at the beginning. I listened to certain songs first and I decided that there weren't my taste. Then overcome came out and i lost my soul to these wonderful men. They do have some misses in my opinion but they've been coming with bops these last few years. Also they had (...have?) a knight concept for a few videos [overcome, bet bet, help me, deja vu]. I loose track of all these darn concepts 😖.

I feel like you just gotta be in the right mindset to like a group, because that's definitely happened to me several times. An example: I was not immediately enamored by ATEEZ during their debut-- it was their first comeback that got me into them and now they're one of my ults. There have been a bunch more groups that I casually listened to, then out of the blue, I finally get hooked on them and do a deep dive and become an official fan or stan. Lol. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I found out about Nu'est when Overcome came out, I went back to their earlier songs and I felt the same tbh, it wasn't my taste, but something definitely changed in Overcome. Kang Dongho (Baekho) did so well, he has such a clear picture in his head of what their sound should be, plus he is such a talented individual, not just a good singer. This group has such a special place in my heart and i am so happy you took the time to react to them. Thank you

Bet Bet is Minhyun's comeback after Wanna One...that's why he's the one who woke up and being reunited with the group at the end. Yes they have a theme or story line. The five knights searching for their queen. 1. Overcome 2. Lovepaint 3. Where You at 4. Dejavu -----> 5. Universe (Minhyun's comeback solo) 6. Bet Bet

Thanks for reacting to NU’EST! In 2017 the group decided to try out Produce 101, they did very well and their old songs started to get played and they started to regain their fans and new ones, only 1 member from NU’EST ( Minhyun ) got selected to train with Wanna One and he wasn’t allowed to make any music with NU’EST until after 18 months and that’s how they created NU’EST W. Which means NU’EST WAITING for Minhyun. BET BET was the comeback for Minhyung and gave them their first Win as a Full Group in 2019 on Show Champion for. They won an award as NU’EST W in 2017. I personally recognize the group by Baekho’s & Minhyung’s voice. You kind of watched the Queen's Knight MV storyline a little out of order. It is Overcome, Love Paint, Where You At, Deja Vu, Help Me, Universe, and Bet Bet. Bet Bet ending part is a separate bside song from the same album titled Fine. They were welcoming Minhyun, the blond in Overcome, from Wanna One. The W stood for Wait as in they were waiting for him to comeback from Wanna One. Nu'est has a rather inspirational story if you want to learn more I suggest the Journey of Nu'est but only watch if you really want to stan. It explains the hardship they went through before their first win with Nu'est W. Bet Bet was the 1st comeback after Minhyun and their 1st win after 7 years... Nu'est is kind of known for doing any type of concept. Their newer stuff is written by Baekho, blond in Bet Bet, and the other members so the songs fit the members better. If you haven't done so yet check out other title tracks Love Me and I'm in Trouble. For Bsides I think you might like Look, Bass, and Moon Dance.
