Thanks for reacting. 💎 Onew did write the lyrics for all of these songs but unfortunately they didn't get selected by SM, other lyricists won. He wrote lyrics to few songs during his career. For example, 'shine on you', 'in the whale', 'beautiful life', 'so amazing' and more. ☺️

i think the cat is in his 9th and final life (eight stories about eternity, the final episode), that is why he looks like that. he has experience a lot in his past 8 lives. there are many references in this mv and this is just pure art together with onew's voice and kim eana's lyrics

Everything about this is pure art - the scenes, images, lyrics, his voice, his look. You certainly need to watch it many times to take in the beauty of it all. Both the music and the mv have a nostalgic and haunting quality. Quite ethereal. It has an unsettling sadness, but then at the end there is hope as Onew walks onwards with a smile. The lyrics are so deep and mature. Life is a circle, of joy and pain, that goes rolling on through the seasons, coming full circle again. There are theories that "the eight stories of eternity" are about the cat's previous eight lives, because he is now living his ninth, and last, life. And Onew in that part is remembering his childhood, hence the boyish looks, children's toys, and a story book emerald green type world. There are also SHINee Easter eggs, like a soccer ball for Minho, and dinosaurs on the window sill for Jonghyun (his nickname). There's lots more I could say, but I'll stop now 😅 That man has one of the most beautiful, warm, golden honey voices I've ever heard 🥰

Thank you for your reaction. I really enjoyed it. Been watching since your first SHINee(including solos) reactions. The mv and song is about, in summary the circle of life. From childhood to adulthood. We all have happy and sad moments and it will repeat through the time (seasons : winter, spring, summer and autumn). That is why the name circle. It can be also something about eternity.... Yes you should definitely react to the whole album. The songs flow so effortlessly (like the 4 seasons )That is also why the album is called CIRCLE. Personally I don't have any favorite. All of them are so beautiful and the medley highlight songs are just the tip of the iceberg. He wrote lyrics but unfortunately he got rejected. However he was 100 % involved in all aspects in the creation, direction and production of his album. All SHINee boys are like that. They have the freedom in their work. He chose all his songs and the messages he wants to convey in his songs. Watch also the mood sampler , you will not regret it. It is so beautiful... If you want to feel comfort, emotional (in a good way) happiness, giddiness and blown away by him, there are several videos on SHINee PLAYLIST channel that you can check for his album promotion and there will be more to come too. Thus you can discover, understand appreciate and love him much better.
