This is a annual military parade on August 15th, a Polish Armed Forces Day, to memorate Polish victory over soviets in 1920, during the Battle of Warsaw. To this day it is one of the biggest military parades in the world. You should watch the last years parade, by the river in full sun. It was bigger than this one. Oh, we also have a bit smaller one on November 11, it's our Independence Day (spelled that right?). This one has a bit diferent tone as we memorate all our freedomfighters in last over 200years.

Right now Poland is in the process of deeply restructuring its army. At the moment Poland has about 300 working tanks and if everything goes according to the plan (and it's not going) they should have over 1000 tanks. Poland is also increasing the size of its artillery forces by a few hundred gun artillery pieces and a few hundred rocket artillery pieces (famous 500 HIMARS launchers, but they won't go that high), around 35 F-35 planes (possibly over 60), few dozens of KA-50 planes, a lot of air defense and IFVs and also the size of the army itself is supposed to grow from 100k to 300k. That being said a lot of it is a work in progress and we don't know how it will all end. Right now the Polish army has a lot of problems, we will see if the new government will be able to solve them.

Yes it's i n Warsaw amd the road they are using runs near the shore of the river. That way lanes can fly in a safe path over water while being nicely visible to spectarors. The Foreighn soldiers were from nations that had troop located in Poland at the time due to tensions with Russia. Black Beret are the armoured forces (Tanks) Grey are the GROM unit. Light red is the MP, Green are norrmal soldiers, dark green some Special forces like AGAT (FORMOZA the naval specials wear black ones too), Maroon are the paratroopers, olive is the new Territorial guard. Fun fact: boarder guard and police use cavalry (police only some, it's mostly the border guardin some regions)

scarf coulor is dependent on brigade, beret colour is dependent on kind of armed forces. Light green is infantry, black is tankers, red is paratroopers and crimson red is MP, dark green is most special forces, grey berets are reverved for JW Grom. Parade happens every year (exception for covid) on 15th of august in Warsaw, basicly the parade you were watching is from few years back, parade in 2023 was much bigger, and was without any soviet/post-soviet equipment on ground. Something about date 15 of august 1921 there was Battle of Warsaw, also called Vistula Miracle, because after 2 years of losing our territory we've pushed soviets back to their territory.

Nice reaction! The parade took place in the seaside in the Hel Peninsula. Hel is also a town at the very end of it - see a map. The word "hel" comes from the oldpolish language and ment "a dune, a wilderness, a promontory". Writing it with double "ll" was started by foreigners coming there and saying on YT that they've been in "hell". Mamy people use this spelling but it does not apply to this place.

It is military parade during the Day of Polish Army (on 15th August). This day commemorates victory of Polish Army in the Warsaw's Battle against Soviet Russia in 1920. This was one of the battles that saved Europe, like Vienna Battle in 1683. There are representativs of other armies just because Poland is NATO member and cooperates with other armies that are also NATO members. Polish air forces also cooperate with British Air Forces defending sky of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, because this coutries don't have their own air forces. Air forces of several NATO countries are on duty to defend these countries, including Polish and British.

Yes those are other NATO countries marching with Polish troops. Polish snipers are probably some of the best in the world as are Polish special Forces. But all military might does not matter because Poland has a NEGATIVE birthrate. A great military does not matter if the politicians are enemies of Poland and that is mostly the case. One well placed spy or "operative" is worth a huge part of a military. An extreme example that is not true: If Putin was actually working for China. What is better for China a 1,000 tanks or Putin?
