The differences between Polish SF: - GROM is like a US Delta or British SAS, so strictly precized special operations, antiterrorism, search and rescue etc - JWK is like Green Berets or some kind better Rangers, British naval commando, so rather improvised missions in hard environment, sabotage, but search nad rescue / search and destroy missions as well. - Formoza is basically Polish version Navy Seals, everything about maritime, boarding, seashore reconnaissance but also land operations. - Agat and Nil are kind of mix of airborne, JWK and support teams, something similar to Rangers I guess. - OSŻW - something like smaller police antiterrorists team but military police

@Fill2567 ай бұрын
@@arkan1806 Nil to zabezpieczenie wojsk specjalnych a Agat to dywersja w ramach uzupełnienia JWK. Jeden i drugi przypadek to istotny element uzupełnienia zadań jednostek powyżej.

JWK and GROM are both Special Forces alongside some other Polish units like AGAT, FORMOZA, NIL etc. so they have a lot in common. Yet it's the environment that matters. GROM is elite multitool for the hardest tasks including the intelligence missions like MI6 does too, but just as FORMOZA is best at sea, as JWK where "K" stands for "commando" is best at land supporting the regular units by giving a top-notch reconnaissance, rescue, ambush, or any other support that regular units would expect from a special commando unit at war. So I'd just say this guys are more into land warfare than some other units I mentioned.
@dawidda7 ай бұрын
You cant compare GROM to Mi6, You can compare them to the British SAS. and JWK to the Bristish Special forces support group, and Formoza to the British SBS. And JWK is Special Forces, Grom and Formoza are not they are "Special Missions Units"

In the simplistic terms of "GROM," its tasks are short-lived, if we consider the time in which the task is to be completed. "JWK" is trained for long-term operations in the enemy's rear.

The Polish special forces mainly consist of three units: 1. **Jednostka Wojskowa GROM (Grupa Reagowania Operacyjno-Manewrowego)**: GROM is the best-known special forces unit in Poland. It specializes in special operations, including counter-terrorism, hostage rescue, and operations behind enemy lines. 2. **Jednostka Wojskowa Komandosów (JWK)**: The Komandosów is another special forces unit of the Polish Army. They are trained to conduct special operations, including special reconnaissance, unconventional warfare, and counter-terrorism. 3. **Jednostka Wojskowa FORMOZA**: FORMOZA is a special forces unit of the Polish Navy. They specialize in maritime special operations, including maritime rescue, counter-piracy, and amphibious operations. Regarding your question, the main differences between GROM and JWK are as follows: 1. **Specialization**: - GROM (Grupa Reagowania Operacyjno-Manewrowego): GROM specializes in special operations, including counter-terrorism, hostage rescue, special reconnaissance, and operations behind enemy lines. - JWK (Jednostka Wojskowa Komandosów): JWK is also a special forces unit, but it mainly focuses on special operations such as special reconnaissance, unconventional warfare, targeting high-value assets, and counter-terrorism. The differences in recruitment between GROM and JWK are primarily related to selection criteria and prerequisites to join these special forces units: 1. **GROM (Grupa Reagowania Operacyjno-Manewrowego)**: - GROM primarily recruits among experienced members of the Polish Armed Forces, including the Army, Navy, and Air Force. - Candidates must have excellent physical and mental health, shooting skills, language skills, and they must pass rigorous psychological and physical tests. - GROM looks for highly motivated candidates capable of working effectively in teams and making quick decisions in stressful situations. 2. **JWK (Jednostka Wojskowa Komandosów)**: - JWK also recruits among experienced members of the Polish Armed Forces. - The selection criteria for JWK are similar to those for GROM in terms of physical, mental, and language skills. - However, JWK pays particular attention to skills in reconnaissance, survival in hostile environments, and unconventional warfare. In summary, although both units seek highly qualified and motivated candidates from within the Polish Armed Forces, the selection criteria may vary slightly depending on the skills and specialties sought by each unit. In conclusion, although both units are special forces of the Polish Army, they have slightly different specialties and missions, although they share similarities in their high-level training and preparation.

I recommend you the film that JWK made in tribute to the soldiers of the Home Army (AK) from the Zośka, Parasol and Miotła Battalion. The tradition of which the current JWK commandos inherit. The video was created on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising. The title of the video is 1944 - 2014.
