Lol... International fans HATED ROOKIE, but it was a massive hit in Korea. 9 music show wins and the highest score yet on Mnet's Countdown. There is a theory that the video mocks the impeachment of President Park Guen-He in 2016, which makes perfect sense... but unless you're familiar with what happened it takes a long time to explain. For example, the "Windows symbol" the girls are lounging in represents the "smoking gun" of the case, which was a copy of one of Guen-He's speeches saved as a windows file on Choi Soon-Shil's laptop. Each of the RV members represents someone else involved in the fiasco. And yes, the choreo for this song is sick.

@thezircadia If you read up on President Park's impeachment, it breaks down like this.... Joy represents President Park. Irene represents Choi Soon Sil. ( her shadowy religious "advisor" ) Yeri represents Choi's daughter, who reaped much of the benefits of her mother's manipulation. Seulgi represents the Dispatch reporter who blew the case open. Wendy represents Korea's general public. The "flower man," and flowers in general, represents the strange religious cult they belonged to. If you watch the video again from that angle, it makes a lot more sense.
