I'm still amazed by how versatile Red Velvet actually is & also how they are able to let every member shine equally in each of their songs! It's just so much fun to watch whatever they are doing. I think I'm in love.. :D

RBB is one of a kind. I love it because it's so complex. The actual instrumentation is very bare. Most of the melody is coming from the members themselves. They are constantly singing harmonies and adlbs throughout the whole thing that is serving as the actually melody and instruments for the song. It's very risk and hard to pull off.

That's so cute that you watched even the level up seasons! Even battle trip:( So nice! Red velvet really feels like the full package especially because they have some of the best music, if you havent listened to b-sides please please do! Red velvet have arguably the best b-sides in the kpop industry. Their b-sides sometimes being more downloaded than other groups title songs! My favorites Kingdom come, So Good, Eyes Locked Hands Locked, Butterflies, Blue Lemonade, I Just, Body Talk, so so many more!

I mean once you start to watch them outside of music, you can't stop since they just have the nicest, funniest, cutest & smartest personalities. Wendy & Seulgi's Battle Trip episode was probably the best show that i've seen so far from all the K-Pop related shows. And i'm getting to their b-sides now, i posted my final reaction to their remaining MVs today & next up are the albums. :)

HOLY ! it's a shame we couldnt see your reaction for LUP ! I was fascinated with their songs but once I saw LUP, I fall for them. I was like you, but in my case, first I was attracted for Seulgi (Bias) and once I saw LUP I was "daaaaamn" (but yeah Seulgi keep being my Bias from RV, but damn, the other members are so Bias wrecker as hell xD). Now you know a little more about their personalities hahaha that's cool! I remember my first reaction to rookie, the 2nd song i listened to from them, it wasn't that great (like cringe almost) cause i was not used to listen to this genre, so I was so confused (i discovered for "Bad Boy" so I was expecting more songs like that, kinda R&B), add the fact that I was discovering Kpop, the only thing I listened to then was Blackpink, completely different from RV (ps When i Listened AIISYL from BP i feel weird too haha). Then I read some comments about how versatile they are and their 2 sides, so I was "Ok, I'll listen to again without any prejudgment or anything" (cause when u listen an artist /band you kinda expect the same genre, opposite to RV hahah they always bring something different) and then I was like repeating once and again "rookie rookie". Of course, every song i listened to then was like a trip xD but now I can't stop listening to them hahaha Hope you react more to their other song from them, Like 1 day you react to Velvet side, and next to red side or something like that ahahah

It would’ve been waaay too much to record all of that (also i think it’s impossible anyway due to copyright). But yeah, it was a fantastic show. I completely agree, i fell completely for them while binge watching LUP. Was a great experience for sure. Red Velvet is an interesting case for me, since they are completely different from all the other groups i listen to so far (Blackpink, Mamamoo, Twice, Everglow) but somehow they are also a mix/combination of all of them. Definitely the most versatile group i know so far (and i haven’t even listened the b-sides yet). Also PS: imo AIIYL is BP‘s best song/MV & probably still to this date my favourite song overall in K-Pop 😄

Im Eagle I was sooo hooked from the first episode onwards even though Joy wasn’t part of the first season. But that only made me love the other members more. All the banter between the members and also the production crew were hilarious. And the fact that the staff always stayed the same for 3 seasons really made the show even better. There wasn’t a single episode that I didn’t enjoy:) Also i loved how „much“ german stuff i recognised during the show 😂 they went to a German village, played german music in the background & the kid they met in season 3 was also german. That was so random & hilarious to me i loved it 😂😂 And then in Battle Trip Wendy & Seulgi actually start speaking german, i couldn’t believe it 😂

@@saskoreacts I am now watching your reaction to Rookie and I am so happy someone else appreciates the song instead of slandering it 😢. People hated on RBB because of the repetitive lyrics and the mv not being released on Halloween, while Rookie... Well you know the lookie part bothered them so much It's hilarious. Rookie's mv is how Joy wanted to drug the members and make them believe there's a world inside the wardrobe. It's turns out that world was actually real and everything, including the flower man (the girls said it was the mv director), came back to hunt her. In the end we see that it was Irene all along who acted like a puppeteer and orchestrated everything. The song's lyrics have a condescending and patronising undertone about a boy who is new to love, hence the "rookie", and they treat him like you'd treat a child 😌. This is why RV's songs are much more than what they appear to be. Oh about Russian Roulette, they are fighting for the love of someone hence they kill each other so they can get shot by the gun with the heart bullets (it's like a reverse RR) and win. For RBB, the mv is full of inner fandom jokes and they get chased down by a bad boy (the wolf) who they want nothing to do with him, but they love the thrill of the chase. It's like Bad Boy's lyrics but the difference lies in role the girls play (in RBB they are the victims while in BB they play with the bad boy making him think he has the reins but they end up dropping the bc they get bored of playing their game hence " making you fall to your knees" or "shot a bad boy down" on the eng version). This is a bit jumbled but I hope it made things a little bit clearer. Oh, and if you enjoyed their title tracks so much, their bsides are going to blow your mind!

Fun fact: I play RBB and Butterflies everyday and have since they came out! These two songs are so addictive and unlike anything I've heard in Kpop! You should check out Butterflies, if you haven't already! It's so catchy and and the vocals and harmonies and choreography are on point 👌 👌 👌

Actually, irene do that high note on rbb 😄. I was surprised also that you love rookie and rbb because those 3 songs along with zimzalabim are their experimental songs, its not that type of song that was mainstreamed or a familiar type. Yes Peek A Boo is still my favourite along with RBB. But honestly, there wasn’t a single song yet that i don’t enjoy listening to on a regular basis. I put all of them in my playlist & can listen to them at any time. Which says a lot about Red Velvet.

If you've watched "Dumb Dumb" you know that RV (and/or their songwriters) have a real passion for the King of Pop. Despite it's Halloween-y theme, RBB was NOT released in time for the holiday, but rather on December 3 -- the anniversary of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" MV being released (which had, due do its epic scale and complexity, missed its target date, but became a smash hit anyway...)

I don’t really remember what part you’re referring to here, but I’m sure I liked Rookie during this reaction.
