Ooooh! I love this Deep Purple song Smoke on the Water! This song originally came out in 1972, I was just a child, but THAT guitar riff is undeniably recognizable. I will raise up the volume in my car nowadays when I hear this song come on, it is THAT GOOD! This song rocks to this day! Much respect to all of these legendary musicians, who brought us some of the best rock and roll music in the 1970s and banded up together to bring us this wonderful collaboration! What a gem of a jam session though, right? I love this video reaction, I am so happy you reacted to it, I have not seen this before but what a wonderful treat to watch this morning! This made a happy start to my day! Thank you Coach and Mrs. Coach! Happy Friday! Peace! ☮

The strory of the song Smoke on The Water (1972) is told in its lyrics: Deep Purple came to Montreux, Switzerland to record in the studio which was placed up the casino. It was a few hundred years old wooden building. Frank Zappa had the concert outdoors and "some stupid" from the public fired "the flare gun", the building caught fire and burned to the ground. 😮 Years after the casino along with the recordings studio was rebuilt and Queen bought it in 1978. They recorded several songs/albums there, among them Under Pressure (David Bowie, whose 9 years unnecessary of his passing is today 😢, lived in Montreux) and Innuendo (where Steve Howe visited the boys and was invited to play the flamenco part with Brian) The studio became Freddie's and Queen's safe heaven in tne last 5 years. The final Made in Heaven album (1995) was mixed thete and in 2013 the Mountains Studio was opened for public as Queen's Studio Experience.

With some detail: 3':09": is Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden). 3'37", 4':11"... and so on: Ian Gillan from Deep Purple (sing alone the first part). 3':48"...: Ritchie Blackmore (originally from Deep Purple, who created the riff). And Tony Iommi from BS, David Gilmour from Pink Floyd, the two from Queen, Brian Adams, and a whole constellation of splendid musicians, as mentioned in other comments. But... You need to check to the original Deep Purple 'Smoke on the Water'; there so many amazing songs to listen from them, mark II with Ian Gillan, Ritchie Blackmore, Jon Lord, Ian Paice and Roger Glover, masters !💜

I think you do need to react to both Deep Purple, with this song, plus Child In Time and Highway Star, just to get you going. I also think it's time to react to some Iron Maiden, especially as they are starting a new tour in a few months called Run For Your Lives to celebrate their 50th Anniversary. I am seeing them perform for the 3rd time in 7 years at the London Stadium in June, where their beloved football (soccer) team, West Ham United play their home games.

They recorded SOTW in five sessions. At first one there were Chris Squire and Roger Taylor recording the backing track in a company of Brian May whose left arm was broken (because of the accident on his son's skateboard 😅) but later he was able to play 🎸 with David Gilmour and Tony Iommi. There's a great 40 minutes documentary of Making The Smoke on the Water on official Rock Aid Armenia Channel: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3fCk3uOqr9ogassi=cVWR_lUA_VbmRsbm I like a part where long time friends Tony and Brian are jamming and joking together but the best part is them playing Shadow's Apache.😮 Priceless. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hn2poK2np62UaaMsi=UMCygyy1K4MODlh7

Hi folks! Looks like this one is making the rounds. Actually, Mrs. Coach, Deep Purple is still together. They've been together almost as long as I've been alive. Anyway, with the popularity of Band Aid, We Are The World, Hear 'N' Aid, etc. I never understood how this one got buried. It was great to see the brothers May and Iommi play together. First kid on the vocals is Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden. The other vocalist is DP legend Ian Gillan. The blonde gent on guitar is the immortal David Gilmour of Pink Floyd. Keith Emerson of ELP on keys, Rush's Alex Lifeson and Yes' Chris Squire on the bass. (He's gone now. Replaced by Geddy Lee. How's *that* for an upgrade?) If a bomb fell on that building just then, Glen Campbell would have been the most popular musician alive. (Borrowed from Eddie Murphy.) Great video! Love you guys!

Coach, you have a very clever and observant Mrs. Coach: the guy in red shirt IS Bryan Adams 😮 and YOU are right too: the first singer (going oops) IS Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden) 😮 The guy with the green bass is Chris Squire (Yes), the guy in black T-shirt is David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), the guy banging on drums 😂 is Roger Taylor, the boy 😅 in blue flowery shorts is Brian May and the left handed guitarist in black is Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath) ... of course you knew these last 3 😂

@@CoachCastTVperhaps it is time to explore "old" heavy metal/rock groups as Deep Purple, Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath (a singer Tony Martin, with Cozy Powell on drums and Brian May's metal 🎸 solo along with his best friend's Tony Iommi growling guitar: WHEN DEATH CALLS) and Led Zeppelin. ...and more Queen of course 😂

Fun reaction for this little super group. Odd, I just realized I could pick up Brian's playing style w/o seeing him. Well, that was just a lot of skilled musicians rocking out. I enjoyed the vibe of the whole thing just as much as the music itself. I didn't recognize everybody, but almost! I'm not sure Roger and Coach would be a healthy combination for any of the people involved, including innocent bystanders. It just screams danger to me. 🤣 Also, it's ok Coach, my friends in high school kinda sucked too at times. But you shouldn't let that get to you and check out Iron Maiden anyway! This one is a classic and a good place to start: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bIGnfqenms-BnNU The song is called Fear of the Dark and it's live. Catch you on the next one!
