Another listen to Aurora, the "Viking fairy princess..." My apologies for technical mishaps... Life has a generous sense of humor.

I discovered AURORA randomly about a year and a half ago. I clicked on her 2018 KEXP Iceland Airwaves performance and to this day it is my most watched concert film ever. Her energy is transcendental.

I am originaly a rocker and metalhead but listen to every type of music, but i don't really connect to much these days. But with AURORA i connect for five years now and i have follow her since then love her personality........ In fact everything. There is no special hype around her nothing but Love and pureness. She spokes always through her soul and heart and showing it by her song, approach, empathy to everyone and everything that is a rare thing these days. I like your reacting to AURORA they are sincere, intelligent and kind. Her music videos is great, but her live ones showing more of her precious abilities. Emotions, expressions and storytelling. I suggest her live performance Lucky in Nidarosdomen that is 100% emotions and haunted beauty. She wrote that when she was 9 years old. By the way i am from. Sweden and we are proud to have Norway as neighbour. 🍀🍀🍀

AURORA’s performances are good medicine so don’t stay away from her too long! She is one of the most unique artists in the music industry! While she has done some covers of other artists, she has given us a steady diet of original songs since 2015/2016! I believe her 3rd chapter of music will be coming soon and I’m looking forward to it! I’m a 59 year old male from the United States.

It's mandatory to react to "Through The Eyes Of A Child (Live) - Stripped (Vevo UK LIFT)" when you crawl down the Aurora rabbit hole. Try not to get teary-eyed hearing that version. Great reaction, and hello from Norway.

Hi from Norway =) Aurora wrote this when she was 11 years old and little did she know that it would inspire another young girl. “When I was 12, I saw Aurora’s ‘Runaway’ music video,” “Something inside me clicked, like, that is what I want to do, no matter whether it goes anywhere or not.”-Billie Eilish

The face in the sand and the painting were just an illusion, what she saw while climbing a tree was waiting impatiently, and she was running far away and perhaps off the world someday. I'm thinking that the home where she belongs is not of this material world. This world can be a very hard place sometimes and Aurora is running for a soft place to fall.

This is awesome...so this is your perception of Aurora in a cold winter snowy environment is like your vision existed....like a dream come true...and that sure feels good John. and this song is beautiful. So that's awesome, I can say that for your reaction......I've been having problems with the comments, in KZbin Youtubve wont process them, so I'll give it a shot one more time. A great Sunday sir. Aurora Askens is now the Viking Fairy Queen, her Princesdooh period is over, she moved ahead and now is the Queen of Queendom......this is turning in to a Saga I truly believe she is a very special and unique soul or spirit in the shape of a very beautiful and gifted young woman.......OMG iove this lady

Wonderful insightful reaction to "Runaway" by AURORA! You got me ruminating on the nature of music and its essential elements. There are a number of Aurora's songs I would recommend: "The Seed," her environmental anthem, for which she put together a tremendous music video -- and she has several live versions as well: one performed in a forest (HAIK 2019 concert)! Then there is the KEXP concert featuring live performances of "Churchyard" and "All is Soft Inside." And the incredible Nidaros concert she gave in a cathedral with choir and orchestral ensemble, featuring a number of her iconic songs!

Hi Nate, from a small rural town in South Australia. This precious, petite powerhouse certainly resonates with people. To appreciate her movements even more watch some concert clips. To witness this and also her artistic range and growth, depth of her lyrics and connection with an audience, I suggest the following, (not necessarily for reactions but that is up to you) : 1/ Aurora at 19 at the Nobel Peace Prize concert in 2015 "Runaway" (at the press conference for this prestigious event she was a little daunted by all the famous people, so she took a pine cone with her to help her stay grounded). 2/ At age 21 in 2017 "It Happened Quiet" at the Niadrosdomen (the cathedral in Trondheim). 3/ "Daydreamer" from the HAIK concert in 2019, at 23 (a Norwegian TV station organized a special day of surprises for Aurora, culminating in this concert filmed in the forest where she played in her childhood). 4/ "Conqueror" live from the Honda Stage to see her interaction with the audience in a "normal" gig and also to see her smile and dance with joyous abandon. 5/ Watch some interview clips, she is intelligent, wise, cheeky, playful, funny, honest and quirky, a true individual. All this will take some time but it will be more than well worth the effort. In "Daydreamer", Aurora says "I know I'm just a girl but can I change lives?", the answer of course from her legion of fans is a most emphatic YES!

Norway here. The song is about running away from your bad feelings, "running to find a soft place to fall". But then she "can't take it anymore", "Take me home" meaning stop running from the bad feelings.

There is alot going on in Norway musicwise Nate. It all started off way back with A-ha. Since then there has been a tremendious growth of talents over here in Norway. Aurora and Angelina is just the tip of the iceberg so to speak. Ane Brun, Sissel Kyrkjebø, and not to forget Susanne Sundfør are other female singer/ songwriters with alot of musical substance. These women have been around a bit longer than the two you have reacted to so far. Please react to Susanne Sundfør´s "When The Lord". A song so beautiful and also so hardhitting due to it´s topic of anorexia. And what it does to those who suffer from it. It might hurt you watching it. Greetings from Innlandet County( just 80miles north of Oslo) Norway. Keep it up Nate, and stay safe.

Greetings from New York! Funny you brought up Lord of The Rings because Aurora lovessss fantasy books, especially that one. If you like the way she moves with the music you gotta check her out performing her own songs live. I recommend All Is Soft Inside live @ KEXP. the whole show is one of her best performances (including HAIK and Nidarasdomen) She's so captivating overall. Her personality is quite as remarkable tbh, she's some humble, down to earth, wise, empathetic and free! so inspiring!

Addendum to my earlier comment: I'm commenting from the East Coast of the USA. Yes, I also see our country (and the world) through the lens of a sci-fi novel. Very inwardly directed and increasingly parochial, including the music industry here. In fact, I found AURORA's music by chance at the beginning of the pandemic here, while I surfed KZbin at home. I was initially curious about Billie Eilish's James Bond song, so I listened to it, then left KZbin on, and noticed that Eilish was talking about someone named AURORA, followed by a song which turned out to be "Runaway" by AURORA. AURORA's ethereal and emotive voice transported me, so I began to play various videos and live performances by AURORA, and now I listen to her all the time.

You've found my 2 favorite Norwegian singers atm. Both has names starting and ending with "A". Both are oposites, one blond and fair, petite with tones on the higher register. The other girl is dark and tall and with a voice far beyond her years, dark and velvety. Still they got this "Norse" sound to them... But yeah, there's actually quite a few really good singers from Norway, specially women. In my opinion AURORA eminates music, and she moves organically, so the motion is also an extension of the sound. IMO, she's a top notch sound healer
