I honestly feel like European power metal is very underrated in the US. Majority of all my favorite bands are from Europe and unfortunately don’t tour the US but thankfully Sabaton does :)

The original of this song belongs to Radio tapok and Sabaton covered this song. But interesting fact, Radio Tapok usually covers Sabaton.

The guitar solo part you were thinking about was where I think the band mixed in the Russian national anthem into the song. This song brings every Russian to tears at that part.

I do really love this song bc it makes me feel super proud and patriotic... And I am not Russian or from any of the former Soviet countries. There is nothing quite like hearing this song played live and having EVERYONE sing along and hum the anthem in the guitar-lo... And its a bunch of Americans and Canadians doing the singing and humming. Sabaton makes you feel proud for countries you ain't from. It's very, "I SEE YOU. AND I AM PROUD FOR YOU. So much so, I feel like I gotta defend the motherland."

I am Swedish and immediately recognized the Russian Soviet national anthem in the solo, because I watched hockey tournaments in the 70's

There was a point when Wehrmacht stood just 30 km away from the Moscow Kremlin. German officers could even see big Moscow buildings through their binoculars.

2 easter eggs ;) they sing "stand against the typhoons wave". The German Name for the Attack on Moscow was "Operation Typhoon"...and as said before, the guitar solo is the Soviet/Russian Anthem ;)

Very few reactors recognize the gitlo on the first pass, but you can always see a glint of recognition before they start racking their brains "I KNOW this song, Where have I heard it before?,Watching the Olympics? In a movie?... It's an inspiring and memorable composition that makes you feel ten feet tall, as any good national anthem should. The Joyous reactions of Russians are the most fun to watch, as you can imagine.

Although this is officially a cover song since Radio Tapok wrote and recorded it first, I don't really see it that way. When Radio Tapok wrote the song, his whole idea was to write a song as if it was written by Sabaton. So I see it more like a Sabaton song, written by Radio Tapok. :)
