My take on this is that the magic is the spirit to "rule the battlefield". you can see the spirit leaving the tanks when they retreat or get hit - they didnt "rule" the battlefield, and the spirit searches for the strong commanders

Some of my favorite songs by Sabaton are 82nd All The Way, Bismarck, Blood Of Bannockburn, Cliffs Of Gallipoli, Defence Of Moscow, Devil Dogs, Fields Of Verdun, No Bullets Fly, Primo Victoria, Roarks Drift, Seven Pillers Of Wisdom, Screaming Eagles, Shiroyama, The Attack Of The Dead Men, The Lost Battalion, The Price Of A Mile, The Red Baron, and To Hell And Back Sabaton also has another channel called Sabaton History if you want to know the history behind each of the songs.

Out of everyone I've been watching react to Sabaton, your reaction is by far the best. I love seeing people experiencing Sabaton's music of the first time just get really into it and just rock out. For me, this is one of my top five songs from them; The fast paced double kick bass drums help give the feeling that the song is being driven forward by an engine. Though my favorite part of the song is the second bridge, the part that starts "From the Mark One's introduction, to the beast known as the Leopard", yeah, I can belt that whole section out no problem.

You got it right Sir. The Armored knights march through time. Then they disappear. Then the great war, the emergence of the tank...the new Armor takes the soul of the Knight. And we march through our own time. As much as it pains the Rangers...Armor always leads the way. We fill the same role as our ancestors. We break the enemy lines. Sow chaos confusion and terror. We are Armor...We are fury...We will not fail.
@greaper19763 жыл бұрын
This song is basically about the evolution of the tank, with the night basically being the first form of armored combat. The video was made by Wargaming for World Of Tanks. The last tank with the "runes" is the new Sabaton tank that is available in-game. Sabaton is a swedish band that writes and sings about Actual historic events, battles, moments of heroism and wars. They will be releasing their 10th studio album very soon... everyone is waiting for the date... Nice thing about them is that their video's never blocked so it's KZbin safe. (except for some Wacken video's that gets blocked by Wacken) If you really want to go down the Sabaton rabbit-hole, I would recommend these: (These are all from the Sabaton Channel, and they never block videos so it's safe to use) [live at Woodstock 2012]: Ghost Division, 40:1 and Uprising [Great Tour Live Videos]: En Livstied I Krieg (make sure to turn subtitles on), Red Baron, Swedish Pagans, Primo Victoria, Fields of Verdun, Devil Dogs & Angels Calling [Lyric videos]: Attack of the dead men, In Flanders Fields, 82nd All the way, Sparta, Shiroyama and The lost betallion [Music Video's]: Defence of Moscow, Livgardet (make sure to turn subtitles on), Fields of Verdun, Rourke's Drift, Screaming Eagles, Uprising & Seven Pillars of wisdom [Animated History Video's]: Night Witches and No Bullets Fly (not animated music video's, the animated history/story video's) [Covers]: Kingdom Come - Deliverance and I'm sure people told you but in case, Sabaton have another channel (Sabaton History Channel) where they do a deep dive into the history behind the songs with Indy Nidell.

Not quintessential power metal but close, they lack the common high pitch vocals and fantasy themes. They sing about military history, and like someone se recommended their History Channel is great! If you’d like some good live performances I would recommend ‘40:1’ (from Woodstock festival in Poland), ‘Ghost Division’ (on their label Nuclear Blasts channel) and ‘En livstid i krig’ (on their own channel). Be sure to turn on subtitles for the last one since it is in their native Swedish. Turn it up!

HA! So glad you've found Sabaton! This is a rabbit hole you won't want to come out of! Sabaton is from Falun, Sweden, and as people have mentioned before, the majority of their songs are about historical events from all over the world. The band is: Vocals - Joakim Brodén Guitar - Chris Rörland Guitar - Tommy Johanssen (who is also the lead vocalist of Majestica, also from Sweden) Bass - Pär Sundström Drums - Hannes van Dahl (who, as many people will tell you, is married to Floor Jansen, vocalist of Nightwish) Here are some more suggestions! Subjects are in () "Bismarck" (German battleship of the Kriegsmarine) Official Music Video "Winged Hussars" (Polish cavalry) Official lyric video + live version from The Great Tour in Poland "Uprising" (the Warsaw insurrection of 1944) Official music video + live version from Woodstock Poland 2012 "En Livstid i Krig" (the Thirty Years' War) Live version from The Great Tour in Gothenburg, Sweden NOTE: This song is in their native tongue of Swedish so be sure to turn subtitles on And so many many more! Sabaton's live videos are particularly intense. Don't be surprised if you feel patriotic for other countries while listening to them! And finally, the band has a separate KZbin channel called "Sabaton History" where they, along with their good friend Indy Nidell, discuss the backstories behind each of their songs, and how the songs themselves came to be. Definitely looking forward to seeing you react to more Sabaton! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

Something that was figured out in the OG video was the way the spirit leaves the tanks before they were about to get killed, and there's a good dissection as to the reasoning behind it. The first tank, the Mark IV, avoided the cannon fire, but ended up getting itself stuck in the ditch, dooming itself to artillery because of a dumb mistake. The second one, the Sherman, met it's end when it got outnumbered 2 to one by the enemy, a fight it shouldn't have picked. The third, an SU-152, seemed promising, but in it's haste missed its shots on the enemy. The 4th one, the Panther, was doing well until it got shot from behind due to a lack of situational awareness. And finally, Sabaton's tank, which not only practiced the lessons the former tanks learned the hard way, had the perseverance to rise up when they were down, winning the battle.

"It takes 4 souls to make the ultimate killing machine" Driver, Loader, Gunner, Tank Commander. The modern idea of a tank crew western wise. Tank commander is the brain. The gunner its sword arm, The loader its heart and life blood , And the driver its legs. It takes a coherent crew to bring life to armor. There is FAR more to being a Steel Commander than the games tell you.

'Bismark' is one of their most popular, but my favorites are 'Primo Victoria' which is about WW2's D-Day invasion of Normandy. 'Shiroyama,' the "Last Stand of the Samurai." 'Lion of the North,' the story of King Gustavus Adolphus II Vasa, of Sweden, also known as "The Golden King." And 'Hell and Back' which is about Audey Murphy, the most decorated American soldier in WW2.

Here's a lesser-discussed secret of Sabaton. Yes, they're all about the military history and this is why I love them. But what makes it really pop is how they inject the fantasy lyrics into it. Note the "There and back again" line in the Ballad of Bull which is obviously a Hobbit reference, and the archaic language that they use in many or most of their songs. Like, don't talk to me about the Battle of the Five Armies if you can't tell me about The Soldier of Three Armies. Or the Attack of the Dead Men, or the Thirty Years' War. In my opinion, these events far surpass any fantasy thing because they actually happened. (Not knocking fantasy, as I'm a DM myself, but I'm also a serviceman and my grandfather was Air Corps. This things have a special meaning to me.)

Sabaton Partnered with the Company Wargaming to produce a couple of their videos. Wargaming puts out World of Tanks, World of Warships and World of Warplanes. The three videos Wargaming helped produce ( So Far ) Are " Primo Victoria " , " Bismarck " and now " Steel Commanders " . When Primo Victoria was made Wargaming added a Premium Tank into World of Tanks names ( Of course ) Primo Victoria. Then with Steel Commanders, The upgraded Premium Tank is called The Spirit of War. The tank with the gold Filigree at the end of the video is the Custom skin for the new tank,... The Strv K. Apparently it's the first Premium Tier 9 tank in the game.
