Think about it. Chris Hillman was a founding member of The Byrds. Left the Byrds with Gram Parsons to form the Flying Burrito Bros. Joined Stephen for the Manassas project. Took the Manassas sans Stephen to The Souther, Furay, Hillman band and went on to form the Desert Rose Band. Not many have had their hands in that many pies.

Ritchie Furay has more Buffalo Springfield, Poco, Solo a few times, Souther Furay Hilman Band, Ritchie Furay Band and on top of that was a minister

I wonder how many Manassas songs CSN have performed over the years? Can't imagine these songs not getting into the mix, especially early on in their career.

Musically fantastic. Great vocals. Johnny's Garden is my favorite on this side because I think it's the most well rounded song on this side imo. The other side C songs are great but I prefer the other 3 sides of this album.

@@Hartlor_Tayley I see there's a Manassas Pieces album and Manassas Down the Road album. I've been playing bits here and there last couple of days, I gotta play more so I can get more familiar but really good so far, the Pieces album is mainly acoustic from what I've heard so far. Yes. I've definitely been turned on to some new music a lot over the last few years with online availability. Lol it would be impossible to hear it all.

Your predilction for categorizing every song is ruining/clouding your appreciation for the music you're listening to.. This album is classic because every side is fantastic in an authentic way... 50 yrs.gone!

it's more of a shortcut method to understand what I am experiencing, but I understand what you mean.
