This song is off of their second album, Queen of the Murder Scene, which is a 13 song concept album. Dust to Dust is the prolog and is set at the funeral of the Queen. It is followed by four chapters of three songs each. Back in 2018 they finally released the fourth chapter and performed the entire album in concert at Lunario CDMX. It is a story that goes from infatuation to murder to death. At the time of that concert they were 18, 16 and 13. It was in November so just a bit before Ale turned 14.

Mr Coach got it right - the title is the result of the frustration they felt throughout the song's writing process, which was much more of a struggle than their other songs. Before it was given a proper title it was given the working - ie temporary stand-in - title "Ugh", which just ended up sticking.

They are confirmed at 7 festivals until August. The two best rock festivals they will play at are Steelhouse/Uk and PolandRock Festival/Poland. At both festivals they will be playing on the main stage as one of the main attractions. Poland Rock will probably have their biggest audience as the festival usually brings together five hundred thousand people over 3 days of rock music. Very happy with their achievements.

@@torresilk4277 Wacken takes place from July 31st to August 3rd. They play on the 31st... Poland Rock takes place from the 1st to the 3rd of August and they play on the 1st of August... The festivals take place on the same dates but the distance between the locations is comfortable as Poland Rock is on the border between Germany and Poland. The audience at Poland Rock is usually much larger, reaching 500 thousand people over the 3 days. At Wacken it reaches 80 thousand people a day. Wacken is in the style of other festivals out there where many bands play short shows. Poland is in the style of Woodstock with longer shows and few guest bands.

Thanks again for continuing with the girls. They made big leaps last year in getting themselves more noticed. I predict that this year will be huge for them. New music now out, an album on the way, and more touring. On stage, Alejandra, the bassist is the "cool" one, Daniella, the guitarist is the "expressive" one, and Paulina, the drummer is the "energetic" one. Off stage, they are just so humble, goofy and sweet. That's why we love them even more.

Hey guys! This song is from the Queen of the Murder Scene album. They named it "Ugh" because it was so hard to finish writing that every time they worked on it, they all said "Ugh". They were going to give up, but their father encouraged them to finish it, and we are all glad he did! They went through so many versions of the song, that parts that they didn't use ended up in two other songs on the album, "The One" and "The Sacrifice". It is still in my top 5 songs from The Warning and they do still play it live on occasion (I have seen them perform it once in the 5 shows I have been to). Yes, my favorite song by The Warning is always the last one I heard. LOL

Enter sandman was huge for them but if you ask members of the Warning Army it was their show at Ted X 2017 that hooked them in. It was about 20 minutes give it a watch. They did it in 2016 also and it was so well liked they got asked back in 2017 and killed it.

Coach is closest to the pronunciation of Ugh. Think of a sigh or exasperation. I think maybe you thought they were saying ugh in the song. They weren't, they were singing oh oh oh. The reason they called the song Ugh is because it's the song on the album they had the most trouble with. Every time they went to work on it, it was...ugh! So they just kept the name.

*Ugh* *Ugh* is the 3rd song on the _"Queen of the Murder Scene"_ (aka QOTMS) album released in 2018 when DPA/TW were still an independent band... _QOTMS_ is a concept album that tells a story from the first song to the last... hearing the album out of order makes it hard to follow the story... like reading a book's chapters out of order... there were two or three other songs that were spawned from *Ugh* ... it was a hard one and they really had to work on it... the result is great! DPA/TW wanted to shelve it but their father kept after them to complete it... they were like "ugh! do we have to?" and "Ugh" stuck as the name... this is one of their songs that you might want to think twice about playing when you are driving 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA

DPA (Dany, Pau & Ale) ended up with 3 songs for the QOTMS (Queen Of The Murder Scene) concept album, when trying to write this song - the title reflect their feeling everytime going back to try to finish it "Ugh" - they decided it was a suitable name for the song. The other 2 songs are The One and The Sacrifice. They finished it because their father kept encouraging them to give it a go again.

Both are correct. Mrs. Coach's version is the most used version with Coach's version slightly behind it. There is also a 3rd pronunciation which sounds like a basic, "uh" which is in the distant, very distant 3rd place. The most used pronunciation is with a hard G and then followed with a very airy H sound like a short release of air for an exasperated sound. Coach pronounced the 2nd version perfectly. So, with that, no need to argue as both are correct!

I believe this song was just hanging around and was not progressing. Their father mentioned (multiple times) that they should finish it. Their reaction became UGH every time he brought it up. Well, it turned out pretty good, huh?

Here is a fun video just to watch when you have a few minutes. The Warning ladies were invited to take part in the eight day Shiprocked 2024 cruise, where bands are invited to perform. The girls played two sets on the ship. To wrap up the cruise, Michael Star came out to sing Highway to Hell and the picked The Warning ladies to back him up. Funny thing about you saying that anyone who went to see them not knowing about them ending up fans I had that actually happen. Just as others have said, the young ladies were having trouble finishing this song, but their father Luis would encourage them to keep working on finishing and their response was UGH! So just like S!ck...sometimes song titles come from unexpected, or in this case undesired inspiration! LOL! Think of the pronunciation in this way...take the "ugh" from the word "caught" and just subtract the other letters. 🤘👍🤙

The guitar riff is "nasty." I pronounce it,"ugg" with a silent "h." I'm team Alejandra, the bassist. She is the youngest by nearly 5 years to Daniela and 3 years to Paulina. This song was started by Daniela playing around on guitar, and that riff just came out. The song was going to start on guitar, but they switched it to open on the bass. This song gave them the most trouble to write. The final version is totally different from the other ones. Each version had different lyrics different melodies. They were finishing the song even while they were recording the Queen of the Murder Scene album in the studio. That's how much trouble the song gave them. So, when it came time to name the song, they couldn't come up with an appropriate title, so they left it as "Ugh" because was their response every time they attempted to write the song. The word doesn't even appear in the song 😅

Yes, nasty! I go for the hard G sound at the end (also the preferred pronunciation on the Oxford and Merriam-Webster websites), but the word "ugh" isn't in the lyrics to this song. They're singing "ah" rather than "ugh" (in the published lyrics). According to the ladies, they struggled to write this song and "ugh" just reflected how they felt after wrapping it up LOL!
