They do that sometimes on there live shows kinda like Easter eggs, you miss the part ware Pau and ale, both do a hair flick at the same time, they look at each other before they do it so you know it was planned.., at 7:28 ale and dany do another guitar flick, a 7:38 Pau and ale do the hair flick (you can see it better from a different camera angle that has both girls in it)

I'm nearly 60, and I've been fanboying about The Warning like a teenager for months since I finally discovered them. No matter how many times I've listened to any of their songs I never get tired of them. I just want More! It's like they're the band I've been waiting for for over thirty years of ever increasing mediocrity in the music industry. They are simply phenomenal. I need to see them live -- they're so good on stage, with phenomenal crowd engagement! An absolute joy to watch and hear. And, by the way, they just dropped Kool Aid Kids from Teatro Metropolitan about an hour ago!

Hey Jess, my friend! This hooked me and many others in TWA. First time I saw and heard it on their TEDx Talk, I had to watch it 5 more times to believe what I was seeing and hearing! This is from the first album, XXICB. They released this when they were 17, 15 and 12 years old. HOW? Just Speechless! Pau is too amazing for words, such a talent and such an entertainer! Dany is a Monster on stage. Her vocals are incredible and her guitar skills are so under rated! Ale is a human groove machine. Her technique is so polished and clean, you almost don't realize how ridiculously great she is! On top of that, they are so charismatic and full of positive energy on stage. It is impossible not to be moved and in awe of them when you see them live! Future Legends! Thanks, Jess!

Jesse, great to see you up there again reacting. Superb comments and analysis of the warning. Although sometimes it's difficult to analyze a group like this. You have to just sit back and enjoy them! Survive is one of my two favorite songs from them. The other is the one that Dany wrote when she was 15 at the Berkeley School of Music in Boston. When I'm alone. Can't miss! One thing that stands out for me in this particular song is the audience. It is one thing for the band to get up there and give a great performance. It is the other for the audience to know the song and sing along. That's when you know you have made it!

Yeah, it's kind of an inside joke between the sisters. If you look back at the 2017 TedX performance, Dany got into a dance groove the third time through Pau's verse/pre-chorus. At one point she dances in a way that resulted in her swinging her guitar in a very goofy, but charming, way. Now they do a choreographed version of "the swing" from time to time during their headlining performances. Dany also does, "the Dany Shuffle" on occasion during shows where Patreons/TWA will get the history of it.

I've seen this performance multiple times, and the performance of this song at the Tedx Talk they did in 2017 and I spontaneously tear up and choke up. Not just this one either. They have totally ruined my tough guy rep. "Survive" is from their first full studio album XXI Century Blood released in March of 2017 when Dany was 17, Pau 15, and Ale 12. So, it was written about a year earlier. It just shows their musical talent. I like your insights and the little things you catch in a performance, so pause as much as you like. And you're having so much fun bringing out the details. You could totally broken down that staccato, off beat drum pattern Pau plays. She didn't break a drum stick like she did in the Tedx Talk.

This song, in particular, is special as it introduced me to TW during their second TedX. That performance was jaw dropping...and it has only become even better. Glad you caught the choreography between Dany and Ale and Ale and Pau. They still do that...even though this song is "classic" Warning now. "Why does this make me want to ball?" Yeah...they do that. I get the same way. The only thing I wish that would have happened during this performance is that the spot found Ale in the outro. THAT BUGS ME!

Better late than never, I guess, eh? The version of this song from their 2017 TedX grabbed me like few songs in the past 25 years. Set me on the wonderful journey down The Warning's rabbit hole. Fantastic. The second half groove in this song is so so good. I have played with many musicians older than DPA's combined age who don't have half that feel and groove. I have heard this song so many times and still smile and move and bob my head. Are they having fun? The synced guitar lifts? Yep. Check 9:59 of your video and watch Ale & Pau with their coordinated back/forth rock with Pau's cymbal hits (you can also see it from behind Pau at 7:39). Yeah, they are enjoying it.

I watched a reaction to the entire album Queen of the Murder Scene and there was a whole new layer to The Warning . How could they possibly write that as adults much less as kids. THIS is the song, and TEDx 2017 was the place that roped me in to The Warning!😍 They were just getting comfortable on stage around that time, and they did 3 songs at that venue, with Survive being the closer, to a standing ovation at the end of it. Pau actually snapped a stick about a minute into the song and seamlessly changed it out on the fly, and proceeded to absolutely decimate her drum kit all the way through the song!😄👍👍 Definitely worth the watch in your spare time, even if you don't react to it on screen! 🤘😎🤘

This one's my unchallenged favorite, and has been since the get-go. Although I don't think it was the TEDx version that got me. It's how euphoric the song is. It sounds like a simple dance rock song, although I suppose from your comment below there's more to it. I liked the piano opening, with the Broadway sound at least until everything kicks right in, but they aren't taking a keyboard on tour. I was concerned after seeing the Asbury Park set list that they wouldn't play it in Boston either, but no fear. I saw Dany and Ale sit on the riser and knew what was coming 🙂🙂 We only got 16 songs in Boston, but Survive made up for it. Pau really does like to hear the crowd sing back to her. Dany does too, but I think Pau in particular is energized by it.

Ale doesn't sing often and when she does it's clear she needs the same voice coaching her sisters have benefitted from because her sisters know how to PROJECT. Pitch isn't a problem for her but being loud is. Confidence may be part of it as well. I suspect she doesn't like being the center of attention. That doesn't keep her from being one of the best bass players in rock.

Who thought the very good song from the Ted Talk 2017 would explode into this masterpiece of crowd pleaser. I always start stomping my feet in the finale and i am getting with it. The singing and drumming of Pau is insane. While her face looks like she´s thinking about something, her voice goes one direction while her arms and legs move on their own. I think Pau just sees her voice as yet another drum kit piece. She's been doing it since she was a young child; combining her voice and hand/foot coordination to present a combined sound is at this point just second nature to her. She "plays" her vocals the same way (mentally) as her high hat or toms. I just "happens", as part of making music. No significant conscious consideration required (at least, not after extensive practicing).

What you say about the singing is true. They each have their own flavor and they manage to use that to great effect. The last time there was a band with multiple singing members this equal for me was back in the late 70's when I discovered KISS. All 4 members played. All 4 members sang. And they had amazing anthems that were catchy and easy to get into. They also had an army of fans. The big difference is these girls are doing it for the joy of doing it. For them it is art, not just a product to be sold and leveraged.

Dany has a wider vocal range, able to hit higher notes. Pau can convey certain emotions with her voice in a way Dany can't match, except for the songs that Dany wrote the lyrics. Pau can be extremely aggressive with her delivery, using all of her body to convey her point and message. Dany's able to convey her feelings with her voice alone, which may be a practice thing since she is usually playing the guitar while she sings. Interesting dynamic between the two of them. Pau is better for ballads, though. Dany is better for harder Rock songs, I think. And then there is Ale. I wish she sang lead more often. There are some unicorn live performances documenting that she has a great voice, except that whenever she is called upon to sing lead it seems the sound guy doesn't have the correct level for her mic. IDK if it will ever happen because Ale hates singing lead, but I would love for there to be an Ale lead vocal song on a future album.

I was at THE unicorn show in Toronto where Ale sang two songs. I could hear her just fine. Honestly, I think that Ale would have to work on her vocal delivery to match her sisters. Dany has obviously worked very hard over this last year on keeping her pitch accurate in challenging circumstances, example Toronto where the girls were hot onstage (watch the short of the bows - all of them are soaked in sweat).
@mjc1389

TW have excellent sound people. When Ale sings it’s usually songs towards the bottom of her range. Ale doesn’t emote well the lower in her range she goes. That’s why sometimes you can’t hear her very well during the verses but better in the choruses. It’s also the reason Ale sings with her mouth so close to the mic so it has a better chance of picking up her voice. If they switched mics you’d be able to hear Dany just fine. Pau’s mic is different. They have to shield out the drum noise so often Pau’s mic is turned down and the first couple of notes she sings are very quite until they do turn her mic up. If Ale sang lead on a future song it would really have to be higher in her range specifically written for where her voice is more powerful. Ale can, and does, sing lower harmonies and lower lead parts but it’s not really in her vocal sweet spot. If Ale pushes her vocals to emote better she can go flat and that drives her crazy as she is a self proclaimed perfectionist. I have no doubt Ale has a beautiful voice. I firmly believe she could rival her sisters vocally if she ever wanted to and went through more vocal training. Where she’s at now is perfect for beautiful backing vocals and the occasional lead if needed.

Good catch dude on Pau’s playing, she very rarely if ever plays a passage the same way twice in a row, I honestly can say I don’t know if she has and I’ve heard every song of the warning multiple times, but it’s not just Pau all the girls do, I mean they do repeat their lyrics quite a bit but the musicality’s parts are always building and added to the songs till as you stated the goosebumps start up…⚡️⚡️⚡️

Dany has more range and a more 'rock' voice. Pau has a more emotional voice, is the best I can describe it. Listen to her sing 'Black Holes' or 'Creep'.

When I saw them live, I realized that you never really know WHO is actually singing. when one is singing, either of the other 2, or both, may harmonize a word or 2 in the phrase. A lot of the syllable emphysis is with the harmony of an added "ah" . Get an early performance of this, (TEDx?) & play these back to back comparing them. your take on how they developed this one song over 7-8 years would be great!

Great reaction sir. I definitely love the Dany lead songs (80% of the songs), Pau often comments on Dany being the lead vocalist of the TW. Thoroughly enjoy the shared lead songs (10%) like this one and Disciple as well as Pau's ballads (10%) although my favorite Pau lead is still The End (Stars Always Seem to Fade) from the Lunario concert with Ale doing a piano intro and Dany's achingly beautiful guitar solo. I can't remember if you've reacted to that one. If not, here it is: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fHyaoX-FjKqMgLc 💖✨🔥⚡🚀🤘🏽

Nice Reaction! I noticed how Dani doesn't open her mouth much when they went to the Sirius XM Studio and recorded 4 songs (Choke, Money, Martirio and Enter Sandman) It was on the song Choke that I noticed at the first part of the song she barely opens her mouth when she sings it.

I tear up too, every time I watch this performance as well as the one at 2017 TedX. This one seems extra special, knowing the love they are getting from the Mexican fans. You can see it in the all three girl's faces. They've been playing this for so long and so often that it's seared into their being and all looks so effortless.

Loved your reaction. I have seen this video like 284 times give or take and every time I get to the final 2 minutes where they do that incredible breakdown, I STILL get the chills. I love how Pau goes off on the drums in particular with the ride cymbal (LOVE IT), and you have Dany shredding on the guitar all the while Ale is thumping the bass and keeping the train on the tracks. We all have said the same thing: the last song you hear from The Warning is your favorite song, and while I still basically believe that, if I had to pick one song - Survive is probably it - for the reasons I stated above. As for tearing up... I do that as well. I think it comes from the basic fact that The Warning's music is so damned enjoyable, that you tear up with happiness. And knowing hoe these ladies are so committed to their craft, that they do not put out anything that is not enjoyable on some level. I'm so thrilled I have found The Warning. They're the best thing to happen to music in a very, VERY long time.

I can't believe how biased I'd become over rock music, because I avoided this song for a long time until a reactor I watch was going to listen to this song. Damn, well let's hear it and get it over with. Man, knock me sideways, they jammed at the end, i was mesmerized. Love this song so much now. Not saying its the best solo, but it was awesome to see Dany shred, Pau doesn't stop beating those drums, and Ale, ends with her thundering bass.

Nice reaction, man!! I thought you reacted to the TED talk. They did Survive there too, but no worries. Survive is one of those Pau "Holy Cow!!! What just happened???" TW moments. I like that you caught the synchronized guitar choreography. That's a fairly recent addition to the show and I just love it. Next thing they need the ZZ Top spinning guitars...LOL (just kidding TWA!) As an old married guy, that like "Your words mean nothing at all!!" Is just daggers to my heart. Words no man wants to hear, least wise from a proud latina! Anyway...I loved the reaction.

Sky is the limit for the talent and charm of these 3 musical prodigies. I believe that genetics have something to do with how their voices blend perfectly. And then they jam together and it’s all over. You don’t know it yet…. But they already GOT you. Individually… they’re already as good as can be. Together… they are just naturally perfect. They came. They rocked. They conquered.

They are so comfortable playing this because it used to end their sets back in the day. This is a "mellow" version compared to the way they used to play it, as in the 2017 TEDx Talk where Pau and Dany have a gruffer tone to their voices, and Pau pounds her drum kit without mercy (cracking a stick in the process). NOTE: The TEDx is a 3-song set separated with them talking about why they chose not to sign with a label.
