I love everything about this. The young lady playing the "lead guitar " she's bad ass. And knows it. Drummer and keyboards are murderers too. I think TOP would 👍

Juna isn't just a talented slapper. Her solo intro is picked fingerstyle, and very musical. And when the funk kicks in, it puts you notice immediately that we're in for a wild ride.

The japanese instrument is a Shamisen
@edwardwongks4 жыл бұрын
The traditional instrument is called the shamisen, which is like a lute. The band played in New York earlier this year.

Juna studied music and bass at music collegel. I think what you and others miss is the fact all these girls are really good trained pro musicians and have worked as session musicians as well as in other bands etc They aren't just some bunch of little Japanese girls who happen to be quite good...

Bro i loved your reaction. Mine was same, just like uh oh. To do Tower of Power cover. That takes serious balls.. That's my house. I grew up with TOP. These ladies fucking nail it. A lot more to look at bro. Just wait until you see them with double bass players and one of the coolest hottest sax players I've seen. Cheers bro

Yeah I subbed to her channel, she's kickin' I believe she picked up thumbing this song from Marcus Miller There's a lot of super talent in Japan, especially the women

To cover a Tower of Power song takes serious stones. I've been fortunate to see TOP at the height of their powers here in Bay Area California. And this smokes. No horns. No singing. And I 👍

Yeah the traditional instrument....I always butcher the name of it. that girl has swag. Just watch her play. The keys and drums are awesome

Hi, DeLuca! Still stuck with Rock and Roll girls? Where are the boys😀? Ok. Months ago I introduced you to a little 9yo girl playing "Hysteria" with her sisters. That's how you met THE WARNING and you have reacted to a few songs from them since then. Now, I just want to get you up to date with the last news about that young girl (15yo now) and her Spector. Alejandra (Ale) is an endorsed Spector musician and figures on their website. In this video, she talks about how she first got started playing with Spector, breaks down some specs, and plays an excerpt from The Warning's song, "Dust to Dust". kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZiwiWylhayfn5I Recently, fans asked her to play that Hysteria bassline and she did it. This video has been placed by the band Muse on their Facebook page and now has more than 670.000 views! kzbin.info/www/bejne/h6nWYaBtfLl1npI Also The Warning has signed with a major label (Lava Records) a deal for 5 albums, and is now in the studio making their third album. When they got to the studio a Spector representative delivered to Ale her new exclusive 5 string bass, made specially for her by Spector USA. Here you can see her receiving the new bass: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqKZomionqyXmKc She is working hard this week, playing the bass parts of the new album, and I decided to give you all this info, because I believe you like this young Lady, known as "Thunder Child". If you want to react to The Warning and talk about this, I suggest this video, where the song "Red hands never fade" is sung by Alejandra : kzbin.info/www/bejne/d3Xbk3VrmKqjb9E Thank you DeLuca and sorry my bad english (I am portuguese).

Nothing against them but from a societal point of view this is misappropriation of black culture. There are several black female bass players just as good like Meshell Ndegeocello.
@oldbridgemaker20944 жыл бұрын
Seriously? First; Music is the one human endeavor where every culture and style can contribute to the whole. Second: the bass player who wrote and played this line in The Tower Of Power was Rocco Prestia, who's as white as Mr. Rogers. You maybe need to let it go.
