I love Voyage. My recently departed dad introduced me to them when I was a kid. So they hold a lot of happy memories for me. This song in particular. It was early March 2006, I was 19. I’d left home and had just moved to my first house and it was a lovely sunny day. I was cleaning and unpacking with the windows open and this song came on and it stopped me in my tracks. It was so full of hope and happy vibes and It summed up how I felt. Sad to be leaving my childhood behind but so excited for my new freedom and future. Whenever I hear this song I get those feelings again. It’s incredible. Even if you’re not a fan of disco there’s no denying this piece of music is a classic that can stir some really happy feelings.

in 1978 when my friends and I were sweating it out on dance floors in Frisco discos, if you had told us that any of us that we would still be listening to this effusive classic in 2024 I would have accused you of being on something heavy. And you'd enjoy Cerrone's music too.
