At the Bucharest concert Gabriel was treated for a serious throat infection. From being in Brazil with more than 40 degrees to go to Romania at -20... he had three days to rehearse with the orchestra, the presenter himself stated that he thought that I couldn't sing.... Perdi o ao vivo mas assisti durante o almoço. Que aula vocês deram, que entrega maravilhosa! Gabriel precisa ser estudado e assim vocês fizeram, adorei as observações quanto as performances de Gabriel. Vale ressaltar que Gabriel ficou internado às vésperas dessa apresentação na Romênia, saiu do Brasil no verão e chegou em Bucareste com temperaturas baixíssimas, teve uma amigdalite severa, febre alta, nessa apresentação ele estava doente, garganta inflamada, tomou medicação intravenosa (antibióticos). O responsável pelo evento achou que ele nem se apresentaria. Mas ele cumpriu o compromisso, impressionante. Obrigada pelo apoio e pela aula, vocês são incríveis! Abraços!

Hope you continue to react to Gabriel. When you mentioned during the AGT reaction, that you would like to be his neighbor, I thought I'd like to be his neighbor too so I could listen to him practice all day as well as record some of his songs. I think he does that from home sometimes. You might like to hear a couple of his duets. One is with Jade Sallas and the other is with a friend of his Pedro Henrique, no relation. The one with Pedro is poignant because in December of 23, Pedro died at the age of 30 performing on stage. A natural death. So sad he was quite talented. They duet is stunning.

He’s not really a pop star in Brazil - they don’t really like this kind of music, they’re very binary at the moment Regaton etc. he’s having a bit more success now. You should check out the full interview with Jennifer Hudson! He’s doing some more lived in the months ahead. He truly is a man of God and his joy of singing is what’s important and success would be nice for him but it’s not everything. He’s entirely self taught but is receiving coaching now for his English which he doesn’t speak, and where to place the emphasis on English vowels, consonants. Unlike Dimash and Morisette, Gabriel is like a bundle of joy, his voice is like toy for him with endless possibilities and I think this is what sets him apart from other great singers. His emotional impact in every song is unlike any other these days. The only covers of his I was not that keen on because his voice is too good and powerful for them are ‘ I don’t want to miss a thing’ and his very latest if Shania Twain. Anything else - out of the park❤

At his AGT audition he sang 2 songs but "And I'm telling you, I'm not going" was never aired. So, singing "Run to you" was nerve wracking. With that voice, he should have gone farther. He was on the Jennifer Hudson show recently. I’m just waiting. He is spectacular, amazing and mind blowing. My favorite singer hands down. He’s also so sweet and humble. I know he is very religious and his gospel songs are amazing, even though I’m not religious I listen to them and love them, I’d totally buy his gospel album. I listen to him all day on KZbin. Gabriel's voice is amazing. So versatile, maleable, powerful, rich tonal quality. His father bought Gabriel Whitney and Mariah songs when he was 3 years old and Gabriel imitated them, so this is the result. He can sing a powerhouse of songs with such ease. I have heard he has two originals in Portuguese. I have not heard of them. I think because he grew up in a humble environment and performed mostly in churches with his musician family, he just didn't get the recognition. Apparently his friends convinced him to start singing in English which he learned by just listening to the songs over and over since he doesn't know English and then getting on KZbin. That was very smart on his part because English is a universal language so people began to notice him. Jennifer Hudson heard him on KZbin and somehow Simon Cowell got word from, Jennifer Hudson that Gabriel could sing extremely well, especially the high notes, so he invited him on AGT which gave him even more exposure. I believe the Bucharest orchestra performance you saw was his biggest audience yet. I think we'll be seeing him more and more because he's becoming more well known throughout the world.

Part of the problem, is that Brazil has that typical macho culture that doesn't appreciate men singing American female deva songs, which he is known for. Also, around the time of his first AGT appearance, there was a lot of talk that his intent was to move to the U.S. at some point, likely near relatives he has in the Houston area.
