Fun Fact: The entirety of the Bowser & Eggman fight (including the Alternate Scenarios) is animated by MORØ, who also made that *Helluva Boss vs Murder Drones* video you checked out sometime ago.

19:01 They asked the animator. No, Infinite did not die by "Thwomp to the head", he merely got KO'ed by the impact, and after the battle is reflecting on the sense of his life. My opinion? He's also wishing that the attack *had* killed him. After all, in the grand scheme of the Sonic-verse, what is an Infinite without the Phantom Ruby and/or a loose association with the Eggman Empire anything but Yet Another of Shadow's Randomly Numbered and Remembered Punching Bags?

There's a post-credit scene in Frontier, Eggman worked non-stop to recover Sage rather than just making a new version. He NEVER does that, his forces are completely expendable, something about Sage has become irreplicable to him, along with the fact he he seceded control of his entire network to her, that tells me if he doesn't consider her his daughter, it's as close as he's ever going to be able to get in that messed up mind he has.
