@djoetma Жыл бұрын
2 hours they had. Not 30 minutes. He worked with Slash quite a lot on the Dangerous album. They were friends. All respect to Slash, he's definitely been a fun guitarist, but far from the best guitarists MJ had access to (well, MJ could get the very best, but you choose from a wide variety of players whose talent would fit the production, while he used Slash because of their friendship).

They were personal friends and had worked together before. You can also see Slash in the Black and White video, and he did the guitar work on f.e. Why You Wanna Trip On Me as well.
@virgilvirgilvirgil5 ай бұрын
MJ bought Slash as a gift for this collaboration a huge TV set. Axl was not happy at all. Rummors has it that this is the reason Slash left GN'R. Axl was sexually abused when he was a kid and Slash's collaboration with MJ (who was acusesed of abusing kids) was too much to bear. So they fighted.

Man, I remember when I first watched this on MTV back in the 90s as a teen, I remember as the best collaboration I had ever seen, and it still stands the test of time. What I love about this is Michaels singing style and Slash's playing mess so well together... I really wish they made more music together. Michael Jackson is obviously the king of pop, but Slash is one of those rare guitarists who can stand out in a song where he's on equal footing with any singer, cause he has such an iconic musical identity to his playing. Apparently both Slash and Michael were admirers of each other, so this collaboration was not difficult to happen.

MJ always picked the hottest guitarist of the time whenever he wanted to do a song that was more rock. MJ wasn't a band. He would hire the best musical players at the time. Genius. He was the King of Pop but he played Rock music as well which allowed for a larger fan base which means higher sales. Genius.

This one of his songs he never sang live. This song was to deep i belive.
