He's definitely an asset, a great representative, and a national treasure for Japan. I hope the JSF, the Japanese government and Japanese media all understand his value to Japan and to the world and treat him with the utmost honor and respect that he deserves. He represents the best of Japanese culture and shows the world his compassion and humility.

@Josephine Leung Well since he's been such a contributor and inspiration to the disaster relief efforts plus such a wonderful unofficial diplomat for Japan in the eyes of other countries I would hope the Japanese government would realize what an asset he is for foreign interest. And the JSF is the skating committee and even though they prefer speed skating over figure skating I would think they would appreciate how much Yuzu being involved in competitions increases their ticket sales. And that increases their profits. He's very good for Japan's economy in myriad ways. Increase in hotel bookings in whatever city he's appearing, increase in sales of print media whenever he is featured, increase in profit for outlets that carry his memorabilia just to name a few. Wherever he goes, people want to visit those places. When they visit they spend money. They would actually make much more money if they made it easier for foreigners to buy Yuzu memorabilia without having to go through so many routing difficulties.

Me hicieron llorar y reír de alegría porque si asi a Yuzuru lo adoramos y admiramos en todo el mundo por ejemplo yo soy de Monterrey México ya me imagino el pueblo japonés ya que Yuzu es su héroe nacional, su compatriota su hermano. Japón quieran mucho siempre a Yuzuru y cuídenlo mucho, también cuando se retire...que no le falte nada en su vida, que los años que Dios los le dé de vida el pueblo japonés este al pendiente que Yuzu siempre tenga en abundancia, salud, trabajo y felicidad. ¡Yuzuru Hanyu es de Japón para el mundo! y queda inscrito en la historia universal su nombre con letras de oro y diamantes. ¡Viva Japón y su gente! ¡Viva el Rey del hielo Yuzuru Hanyu!
