He is going to jail but the question is how long is the sentence. These lawyers are not here for solely eating omotosos' money but to build their profile. And that is to get him sentenced to the minimum if not acquitted. It is clear that you see things in one eye. Look at the prosecutor...do you see him fit enough to win the case. Oscar went to jail because the prosecutors were very strong and not because of the facts. That is why the state appealed for the incorrect interpretation of dolus eventualis.

There is an Egyptian proverb that says, "The Sword of Justice Never Rusts." Let us not get side-tracked and emotionally hyped up by the wheelings and dealings of the defense team. I believe that GOD Almighty is greater. I John 4:4 "Greater is He that is within us than he that is in the world" We are warned by the same Book that the 'man of god' is using to manipulate the vulnerable with: "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap." Another scripture says the following, "For the time has come for judgement to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? Now "If the righteous one is scarcely saved, Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?" So friends, calm down. The Living God has it all in control. Let us continue to pray and ask God to let righteousness and justice flow like a stream in this case and all the other cases of fraud, corruption and murder. Enough said for now.
@_acjohn6 жыл бұрын
Absolute best comment, because my thinking is this, should a man of God be even caught near any such accusation(s) God forbid, the very scripture has warned us "Shun the very appearance of evil" no wonder God said through the Prophet Jeremiah that HE would shame any false prophet who goes out in His name, regardless of the legal tactics, God is fully at work, this is overly shameful for any man who says He is a child or disciple of the Living God. Shalom...

We are talking about a young girl who from the age of 13 has been skilfully groomed, tempted and tenderised with the trinkets of fame and fortune all in the Name of The Almighty who is ONE with Pastor Omotosa. !!! There is no reasonable chance of 'chronological accuracy', nor 'locational accuracy' when the victim is a pubescent girl who has been enmeshed in a sophisticated and calculated web of mind and emotional control. The Hand of God is the same hand of the perpetrator and the victim's sense of shame, confusion and even her 'collusion' are typical of these kinds of abusive reltionships. What needs to be proved is not whether he penetrated her, but what his INTENTION WAS and WHAT HE WAS DOING WITH A CHILD WHO HAD NO WAY OF DEFENDING HERSELF OR HER 'DECISIONS'. Especially and I restate this, when the perpetrator does so...IN THE NAME OF GOD. The prosecution needs to stress this at all costs. There needs to be analysis of the cultural imprints and impact of patriarchal belief systems, religious authority and the exploitation and vulnerability of the child who has been taught that a Priest is a Holy Man, Chosen of God, and with God-Given Authority. The command to serve the Pastor, is to Serve God. In this case, sexually. This is a deeply- rooted belief construct that has defined the majority of abusive relationships within religious sects and organisations. A most skilful way to exploit the innocent and naive and a truly sick contamination and distortion of Christ's original teachings of dignified and respectful love, fellowship, kindness and compassion. May True Justice triumph.

The defense attorneys are very competent and watching Cheryl in court I felt her defense had not prepared her adequately for trial.I also wondered at the psychological aspect of things regarding the victims.I haven't yet seen any support, evaluation or interpretation if u will of the impacts of a minor ( 14 yr old) being groomed for sex given the socio economic status of the victims in this case.Meanwhile here in the UK the girls who had a case against the Asian sex grooming gang were more protected and supported.There is no chance they would have to give measurements of their abuser's private parts nor would they have been doubted for going back and forth to their abuser cos such is the workings of a mind tainted by abuse and influenced by religion and poor socio economic status.However I know that if the accused gets away with this relations between SA and Nigerians there will be strained cos so far there has been no remorse shown by the latter at all.If anything the accused looked rather cocky today in court, smiling,smirking and everything.He did abuse his power and took advantage of those girls.His attorneys are good but that doesn't change the fact that he is a nonce.Religion is on its last legs now.It harbors way too much evil.

Zondi's statements are also tainted, she should have braced herself for this because those advocates are not there to play games, this is not about emotions, or wathinta imbokodo thing, this is about facts, substantial evidence and truth not external influences, or biases or the "presence of a trompies police minister " that won't change the court proceedings as per constitution. And to this drunk looking police minister does this mean every so called victim who opens up a case gets police support this way stop politicking when its time not to do so people's lives are stake for the accused and victims. Your purpose is to fight crime take your presence to Manenberg im sure it will also mean millions there.

There is a saying that goes “ First learn how to justify yourself before you fight ” The problem with most black South Africans is that they don’t know when and where to complain.. If care is not taking Omotosho will win this case. Instead of thinking of how to get a better prosecuting/state lawyer and Judge you’re all here saying rubbish..The defense lawyer is vastly experienced than both the prosecutor and judge combined. There are thousands of instances where criminals won simply because of good defense. Keep your emotions out of this for now and focus on getting someone whose experience can match that of the defense lawyer, if not your ranting and mumbling here is useless and Omotosho might win the case...

Thabang Mojapelo on what point precisely was the judge not impartial in his remarks and arguments....by wishing the victim good luck on her academic exams and that she was there for justice and that she shouldn't worry and stress herself about the case proceedings anymore because in the end justice will prevail? So how is that bias? In the question of penis centimetres where no one can really answer to that question unless they were having a measuring tape to measure the perpetrator's penis during the intercourse was also flawed on the defense attorney's side and the judge was correct to dismiss that question. Now I'm really trying to look at where the judge was bias in any way because he did his atmost job to filter out the unnecessary questioning towards the witness. Now my second argument, no matter how Cheryl grew to accept the conditions of the perpetrator in his church and house but at the time it first happened she was only 14 and her rights as a child to religious practices were abused. So many psychological elements have to take part in this case such as traumatic effects in an adolescent stage life. We must also bare in mind as to the stages of brain development and compare it to the stage where Cheryl first developed the guts to to protest the actions of the man who is old enough to be her grandfather and who was her religious leader.

Ayi this Omotoso man might win this case , I wish the victims advocate was as clever as Douberman and Mr price . This isn't fair at all the victims advocate we can't hear or even understand him when he delivers statements , he isn't taken seriously . Who is fighting for the victims ? Enca please tell your reporter Thulas or whatever his name is that the guys name isn't Omotosho its Omotoso let him pronounce the surname right oo

This false prophet could be guilty, I don't want to quickly justify a non-believer like him because an unbeliever can do anything. I call him a false prophet not because of these charges being laid against him but because of his false church doctrine e.g allowing women to dress immorally. However and honestly speaking i am becoming suspicious of rape victims who cry foul some so many years later after the incident and esp many incidences. I think we must go back to our hue n cry doctrine regardless of age and circumstances.
