3:55 the reason Tyreek brought up his relationship with Mahomes is because he was trying to give an example of the direction they were going in, and his similar past experiences. He was trying to say that he and Mahomes didn’t just jump out of the gate with the perfect chemistry and connection. They had to build it. That’s what he was trying to say that he and Tua were still in the process of ironing out. The only reason he mentioned Mahomes is because that’s the only other NFL QB he spent enough time with to have the time to build that kind of connection with. It could have been Al Bundy, that part was irrelevant to the point of the story.

100% life Dolphins fan. I love Tua, he is a great “system” QB. Tua is not a backyard QB. You just run around and make a play that was not designed…that’s not Tua, he does not have that. Also, the fact the Phins are always playing any playoff game in cold weather is an issue…goes all the way back to Marino having to play in Buffalo every year for a playoff game. Miami is a team in a division of cold weather opponents. Would be different if our division was Tampa, Jacksonville, and Atlanta.

Dude, just saying... You can replace Tua's name at the beginning of your statement with players like Brady, Brees, and Manning. In terms of not being scramblers and having a backyard football style. I know the game is evolving, but Brady still out dueled Mahomes as a pocket Qb, even in this modern era. They were great decision makers and maximized the talents around them in the pocket. With that said, I don't think Tua is playing at an elite level yet, but I don't think he needs to be a scrambler/back yard Qb to be one.

Miami doesn't lose in December and January because its cold. They lose because by that time defenses already know McDaniel's offense and McDaniel doesn't adjust. He keeps repeating the same plays over and over, so he make it easier for the other team to stop them. Miami doesn't lose on defense on December and January, they lose on offense.

@JetForceFive
@JetForceFive 3 ай бұрын
Tyreek has been there for two years and still doesn't have a friendship that has full honesty with Tua? It seems to me from the outside that the accountability isn't there from an organizational standpoint. If you're honest - even if its harsh - in the film room, practice field and locker room, then being honest at dinner is easy. Its just a continuation of an existing conversation. That said, Tua is pretty defensive (sometimes argumentative) in his pressers so maybe he doesn't take critique very well. Mahomes has come off the exact opposite where he either owns up to mistakes or takes blame for things that aren't even his to claim. Its probably a lot easier to talk about things with Patrick because of his personality and because the Chiefs organization doesn't care as much about feelings as they do getting better and winning more. I absolutely love Mike McDaniels, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if the atmosphere is a little more touchy in Miami than it is in Kansas City.
@jeanfourcade
@jeanfourcade 3 ай бұрын
McDaniels is a "mother", he relies on good feelings. He wants to be loved, and people to love each other. Granted, he did a hell of cuddling Tua back into some self confidence. But "love culture" can't implement discipline, toughness and competition. Miami is not a legion, it's a summer camp.
@ZGh0st1422

Tua consistently takes blame for mistakes even when they aren't his fault and has been bashed by the media since before he entered the league. Honestly how can your brain come to this conclusion. We've watched Mahomes cry on the field, we've never seen Tua do that. For someone who "doesn't take critique very well" Tua bit his tongue and continued to ball out for 3 and a half years before ever addressing what the media wrongly says about him

Tua is not a playoff caliber winning quarterback, so if he's not good enough to beat the best teams during the regular season, what makes people think that he is worth wasting money on just to never get us to a super bowl or even a AFC championship game 🚌💨🛏💩🥋🧔🏾🗑🚮🤷🏽‍♂️🐬🆙️

Anyone who doesnt believe Reek would go back to having Pat throw him balls over Tua are fooling themselves. Reek, like most intelligent fans, know that Tua isnt even close to the same level as Pat.

I truly believe Justin Fields would flourish under McDaniels, and all of a sudden Miami would have a true double threat QB. Would change a lot of those lost games last seasons.

@@jeanfourcade until he's also concussed 5 times in one season because of the oline. Seriously its like you guys cant remember anything that happened longer than 2 years ago, Tua used to be a dual threat

@@ZGh0st1422 "used to be", you say it yourself. What I saw this season was a Tua who was not that big-moments game winner nor leader, contrarily to QBs who are not labeled as more talented than him (Goff, Mayfield, Love). I hope he rises to that level. As for the concussions, as he decided to play on, they can't be counted as a mitigating factor.

@@rburger0219 this might blow your mind but that’s exactly what tua was before his concussions, even after in this season we saw tua take off multiple times, but it’s beyond obvious that Mike was playing it safe with the playcalling, though I’m sure that’s hard for you guys to recognize
