Eh oui c'est québécois. Les 39 épisodes (en français) sont disponibles sur KZbin. Je me souviens qu'à l'époque presque tout les membres de la colonie artistique québécoise voulaient en faire partie tellement la série était appréciée. Même après 19 ans c'est toujours aussi drôle.

Hi there:-) Airplane (« Y a-t-il un pilote dans l’avion ? » is the French title) is a cult movie. As far as I’m concerned, the bit with the kid (« Do you like gladiator movies? Do you like when a dog rubs your leg? »…) is an unbeatable all-time classic. Now « Le cœur a ses raisons » (which is a French Canadian show btw) comes indeed from the same place and has some of the best scenes in goofy comedy ever. This pilot episode is just an appetiser. More incredible characters, insane writing… Just have a look at Brenda (a female character played by the same comedian as Brad/Brett) in « Brenda téléphone à Becky - Faites l’Etoile ». That’s hilarious. I’m still laughing twenty years later.

Faite l'étoile. Ah oué Ciboire. lol Ma mère était en train de mourrir dans un centre de fin de vie en 2016. Pour entrer dans le département fallait faire un code à 4 chiffres. Et c'était écrit textuellement en gros : "CODE ET FAITES L'ÉTOILE" À TOUT coup que j'arrivais là, dans ces temps très difficiles, je partais à rire et je faisait une petite étoile comme Brenda. Ça mettait un beaume. 🤣🤣

You should see the bloopers out of this, even funnier. This is a "satire" of all the afternoon soaps that area aired since the ‘80s. The kind you could skip 3 years and still catch up on story in 10sec… They are really good at making fun of this slow circus. All comedians are A guest here, all on top of their art. The main actor Marc Labrèche (Brett/Brad) has always been my favorite celebrity in Québec since I was quite young in the 1990s. The author of this show Marc Brunet has written most of Marc Labrèche's scripts throughout his career and they really work perfectly together. Not to mention Anne Dorval (Criquette) who is also very funny and has good chemistry with Labrèche. Le coeur à ses raison is a cult classic in Québec. I'm really happy to see you enjoying it.

It's a parody of soap TV series like Supermodels. And yes, same absurd humor than Airplane! The main actor (Marc Labrèche) is one of the most creative artist in Québec, and the main actress (Anne Dorval) is accomplished and won many prizes on the international stage. This series is cult in Québec AND in France. The writer (Marc Brunet) turns everything he touches to gold, a comedic genius!

I live seeing people from other cultures expending their knowledge and try stuff from elsewhere. I have watch a few episodes with my kids and while they don't have the references (soap opera), they get the jokes. Hiya D .. I had so much fun watching watch our home series of le Coeur a ses raisons lol. I dunno if you watched the whole series but a couple of notes of interest criquette is played by Anne Dorval an she has won awards at the Cannes festival in Paris and in this show she is speaking some very weird and exaggerated french accent and is like a mix between a bourgeois France and a poor people quebequois so that is why she might be hard to understand even for us at times . Also a lot of VIP's in politics, athletes, singers etc were lining up just to be in the show and have a couple if lines as well as ou québec prime minister. But it is quebequois not Canadian .. I say this because if you ask any1 outside if québec they will have no idea what you are talking about lol You seem like a really cool and fun guy and am so happy you enjoyed it ! And if you wanna learn some french stuff drop me a line I am fluent and might have some similar shows in that venue to suggest !

It's very funny, but it's Quebecois, not French. It's a parody of American soaps which are broadcast in Quebec (Canada) often with dubbing by French actors, so there, they make fun of the French accent a little (so it's Quebec actors who imitate the French accent, which sounds ridiculous to French ears. But this show wasn't broadcast in France).

Bien sûr que si ça a été diffusé en France, et le bouche à oreille en a fait une série culte en France !! Les ventes de DVD ont été incroyables, encore aujourd'hui, car les enfants et les jeunes la découvent encore 20 ans après (merci KZbin). Le secret entre autres est que pour une fis, on comprend tout !! Pour les francais, ils n'ont pas d'accent, alors que ce devait et de une parodie du francais ''parisien''. Le tourner en québécois aurait été une erreur car la série n'aurait pas pu voyager dans tous les pays francophones comme elle l'a fait.
