🖐🖐 You made me smile throughout the video. THANKS. I am French, and indeed France is a beautiful country, with such diverse landscapes, we have mountains each with different assets, climates changing from north to south and from west to east which give colors and vegetation particular, seas with marked characteristics. Our country is ancient and full of vestiges which have endured. But all places in the world have their beauty. Really. Thank you for this very funny moment. Greetings from France, I live in the southwest, a region which is not represented by your video, on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean with its long beaches of fine golden sand. The hinterlands are very green, hilly, it’s also very pretty.

La mer au sud, le ski au nord, le rosé à l'ouest, l’Italie à l'est, Paris peut s’accrocher...... Mont Saint Michel is the most mesmerizing place I have ever seen. Been there many times. Walked all the way through the sands of the bay (with a guide of course, it would be too dangerous otherwise), spent a night inside the Mont. At night, all tourists are gone, you have the Mont for yourself. AMAZING. But all that does not even come close to attend an evening mass in the abbey. I am not a religious person but listening to the nuns and monks sing for one hour is something I will never ever forget.

Back in the days, 1980s and 1990s, we would hitch-hike a lot and go to such places with only a backpack and not much money. It wasn't hard to find small jobs in such touristy places, especially when you speak several languages. Another thing, regardless of languages, is to go towards early September, when the wine grapes are harvested. They would always look for people to help harvesting, and they usually have buildings for people to sleep there, they feed you 3 meals a day, plus you get well paid (and you get to drink plenty of wine). It's very hard work, though, you just want to sleep at the end of the day, but when you get paid, you can travel around a little. Then, you can go to Germany and do the same, they harvest the grapes later, in early October. But there are also other fruit and vegetables that need to be harvested. It used to be easy to find such jobs, but unfortunately not so much anymore. Since the fall of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of the USSR, things have changed a lot, not always for the better. Now, they often have people from former Soviet sattelite countries, like e.g. Poland, who come to do the harvests, they work for less money.

As much as NYC is not the entire USA, Paris is not the entire France... Born in Alsace, raised in north suburb of Paris, returned in the North-East of France 20 years ago. Happy not to live in Paris anymore. It changed so much and not in a good way. Watch about a report in Brittany... The Land of my father. Beautiful places. All the atlantic Coast. The chateaux de la Loire. All the North-East and East of France. The hinterland of all south of France. All the borders with Spain, Italie, Switzerland, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium... I am not an expert about the South because I am from the North. I can't handle the heat in summer... But there are some beautiful places that I don't know too as a french like Carcassonne, la Dordogne, la Provence, Bordeaux, Arcachon, Annecy, french Riviera, etc... If you like the mountains, their little trains and cable cars, you would love Switzerland too. Don't be jealous. It may be the job of this guy who is a reporter for a tourism editor/company. He is paid to travel and make these reports. Also, in Europe, we have between 25 and 35 days off per year... And France is the size of Texas State... So with some organization, bullet train tickets, you can do it easily.

I live in Nice on the french riviera and I'm sad he didn't spend more time here as the old town is gorgeous. After all these years I still love to walk in there, looking at the shops, going to the market, just living the slow and peaceful southern life. I know all the spots around here he talked about, but one of the greatest features of Nice is how close it is to the Alps. You can go take a swim in the sea in the morning, hop into your car and drive less than 2 hours to hike in the mountains. With beautiful villages on the side of the mountains, castles, old WW2 bunkers and great forests, the peaks towering behind Nice are a great place for exploration.

Some advise from a guy who live in brittany, it's a celtic place as Ireland, with a language, a long history, a traditonal culture in opposition of what you can know about France (baguette, moulin rouge). Brittany get his own Flag the "gwenn ha du" drawn like "stars and stripes". You will find there a lot of place with a long past People don't act like parisians, they are way more open to the world with respect about different cultures.

Who do you think actually built all of that?

@@DanteAngeli The best things were built in France before Robespier by the hands of Catholic Frenchmen. The revolution began the fall of France, which continues to this day. Leftist hysteria, multi-cultism and dirt on the streets of Paris are things that are difficult to boast about. White French people are losing their sense of national identity and are slowly becoming an open-air museum in their own country. This is the reality I'm talking about.
