Damiano said he wrote this at a very low point in his life... and you can definitely feel the despair in it, you can feel his pain. He's one of the most sensitive singers of this generation, I swear, the way he holds himself as he interprets this song is simply astonishing.

It is a neighborhood in Rome where they wrote the song. You actually said it better than most. Damiano has said the song is like a conversation with the devil about giving up your soul for talent and then trying to get it back.

Not only is the song beautiful, but I also really like the photography in its simplicity, with its play of light and dark. It looks like a living painting by Caravaggio.

Questi ragazzi non smettono mai di stupirci...sono nati e destinati al grande palcoscenico... Pian piano si sono fatti strada nel mondo della musica... hanno conquistato il mondo , hanno la capacità di conquistare tutti i tipi di pubblico , anche quelli che non sono più così giovani...Sono amati e odiati ,sono elogiati e criticati , però una cosa resta certa ,sono una vera e propria rivoluzione della musica pop-rock... Sono una ondata di freschezza e di energia quasi elettrica...Loro sono i Maneskin ,un gruppo di quattro ragazzi che hanno sempre creduto e lottato per raggiungere il loro successo ,ben meritato...👏💖

For my daughters "vent'anni" (= 20 y.o -> her 20th birthday .) I took her to Circo Massimo in Rome.. where Thomas and Damiano played this song the firts time.. unfinished yet.. no name! When it came out and they named it " Trastevere" it was another piece of the puzzle that found its place.. For our trip to Rome( first time for me) I booked a nice hotel in Trastevere.. pure because it was near Circo Massimo.. not knowing it was such a loveley part of this amazing city.. I totaly fell in love with the city, the city-part Trastevere and the song! ( We were already in love with the band before that 😇)

Questa canzone la hanno fatta in anteprima del 2022, al circo massimo, solo dam e thomas, e ovviamente nessuno la conosceva, eravamo 80.000 persone in silenzio ad ascoltarli; è stato meraviglioso. Sono così felice che questa canzone finalmente sia uscita, perché è una delle mie preferite ❤

@@donamua13 saw them 7 times by now... but that day!!All amazing, energetic.. pure passion.. but I do not think there will be many to top that. 🙏😇 ..Still praying for a chanse to see them oned at the Arena de Verona.. my next dream.. that one was already solled out before they hit the ESC-stage and my heart zi think...

@@donamua13 I envy you.. but am happy for you.. real fans belong on stage! I can live with that! My daugther was on stage with them at Pinkpop '22 .. ( pre-Kool kids.. so it was on "Lividi sui Gomiti" -> with Damiano in his underweare ) And I was very close ones.. but the lady handing out the wristbands at San Siro asked me if I was Italian.. I was to hounest and said "No" 🙈Than she said she could not take me 😭😭😭 Maybe one day you and me, we stand next to eachother at a concert. ( and have no idea who the other-one is 🤣🤣) 🤘🎸 "R&R never dies!" and "Thomas Raggi Rules"🤘🎸

this is a masterpiece, they should do more ballads because of damianos voice. this reminds me of baby in the cradle but damianos voice blows it out of the water.

Certo,ma Damiano ha messo questo titolo perchè tutti loro sono nati e cresciuti nel quartiere medio borghese di Monteverde,che rispetto a Trastevere è come l'acropoli di Atene,è accanto e solo una ventina di metri più in alto...ovvio che in un quartiere residenziale come Monteverde per dei ragazzi adolescenti non ci sia molto da fare,ecco che invece a Trastevere ( something like " downtown "...) potevano trovare cose,persone ed esperienze da vivere con passione e timore/eccitazione...ricordiamo la ' linea' da Zitti e buoni ... " qui c'è gente strana,tipo spacciatori "

Trastevere is a famous neighborhood in Rome where young people meet in the evening to socialize, as it is full of clubs, bars, pubs, trattorias and restaurants. This song was played and sung for the first time at the concert held at the Circus Maximus in Rome on 10 July 2022, in front of 70 thousand people. This song, so melancholy, reminds me of a love story that ended, probably Damiano wanted to name it after the neighborhood because that was where he had experienced that love story.

Mi toglie il respiro ed il cuore e' in gola con questa canzone e questo a dir poco suggestivo video. Trovo cool anche il fatto del titolo, che sappiamo rssere il nome di una conosciutissima zona di Roma e la canzone in inglese. Troppo troppo bello tutto.....❤ Ricordo, mister D come era stato impressionato da questi ragazzi dai primissimi video ed aveva creduto in loro!
