This is the kind of tutor I have been looking for. As a self taught Frontend developer, I almost gave up with React because most videos on KZbin showcase application of skills of the content creator but this one is quite different. There is actual transfer of knowledge, skills and values to who ever is following the series. Thank you very much!

The thing i find hard to wrap my head around (looking at the jobs exercise at the end) is that the "const" is the part that shows something, whereas the function is where the info is stored. It seems like the opposite of how JS works, somehow. Now i understand what's inside the "const" is actually a component because it has h1's, but i think i need time and practice to get this more intuitively. I'd be interested to know if that's an issue for others too, or how you see it that makes sense to you.

Hi Pedro, greetings from Czech Rep. . I was just curious if you could show how to work with objects in React which has 1:n relation. Something like video can belong to n categories (or vice versa?). I really miss this in React courses - its always some kind of Todo apps where there is no realation at all and I think it really should be mentioned more often. Anyway even if you wont do this keep up the good work. I can really see your progress throughout last 1 - 1,5 year. Love it, especially React and TS videos!
@PedroTechnologies2 жыл бұрын
Heyy, I might do something that includes an example like this. This course specifically is a beginners course so it will not be very complicated, my hopes is that by the end the viewer can build good react apps and can learn the more advanced stuff on their own. I will also make a more advanced react course right after!

I've noticed you can change the word props with "flower" (or other word you like) and it still works. Why?
@PedroTechnologies2 жыл бұрын
Props is just a variable name to represent the data coming to the component. When you put props at the top, its just you definining the name of the argument of the functional component. You can call it whatever, but we usually call it props because thats the name of the concept

If anyone could answer this question that would cure my insatiable thirst! in Ln13 - const User = (props) => { ... I was wondering why the object is renamed, or at least that's what Im understanding this line of code to be. Because, User.name still allows access to the same value, it seems unnecessary to rename the object right now. Im just starting out on React and js, let me know if this is just semantic code.
