@@yetanothergamingchannelyag2139 True. And when you're young and see a movie most of the cast is older and more experienced. That may have something to do with the deference people show toward the things they're nostalgic about.

@@yetanothergamingchannelyag2139 Nostalgia might play into this a little, but the probable cause is consumption of too many movies and/or TV shows. The brain will keep asking for more and for things to become better. If our brains didn't need/desire that, we could just keep (re-)watching 1 singular movie for the rest of our lives. How hard jadedness sets in is a more complex thing and probably affected by a person's mental state. Someone who's generally leaning towards happiness, fun social activities and a balanced work/life style, might experience much less jadedness than people who are often overcome by bitterness, pessimism and a mind that is compulsively critical of its environment.

When we were watching the prequels as they were written in the 90s we pretty much knew that Palpatine was going to be the Emperor because they had the same name at that point... but we always discussed the possibility that Lucas would pull some sort of twist where the actual Palpatine was a clone, bodysnatcher or not the real Palpatine or some shennanigans where he would try to twist it to trick the audience. Kind of like how he made Vader Luke's father out of the blue for the audience. Also, before some of the novels, I'm not sure when the name Palpatine or Senator Palpatine was actually revealed to the general audience in general media. I remember a speculation video on the clone wars which showed Mandalorians fighting the jedi in a huge battle and it turned out to be the opposite. We didn't even know it would be a clone army and that perhaps the Emperor or someone else would be a clone and start a war.

Definitely. As a westerner who was brought up on the original trilogy, I found the prequels kind of missed the mark in a lot of ways. Like so much potential in the story but sort of ruined by some dodgy acting, over ambitious CGI, etc. So it’s cool seeing this from a complete outsiders perspective, and fundamentally the story beats land, as they always did and could have, were it not for my super critical eye lambasting at what could have been with a bit more care and attention. And I still kind of wish we’d seen Leonardo Dicaprio play Anakin… I think it would have elevated the films and made all the romance stuff land better. Frankly anakin is just “too” much of a creep in episode 2 especially.

I was glad to see them so overjoyed at Yoda’s fighting ability, as kids we had the same reaction. We knew that Yoda had great wisdom and force ability because of the original 3 films, but no one expected him to even have a lightsaber. And as always, I love when Babu closes us out with a song!

Hope the next part will be soon ;) Also, once more, talking about clones (and considering they have seen Jurassic Park), I think they should get some more in-depth information (over at Common Man Show) how genetics work and what genetic engineering can - and will be expected to - do.

In this part of the story, Anakin is dealing with many emotions, loss, love, fear, anxiety. He chooses to reject his master's advice and deal with them his way, which leads him down a dark path. A war not on one country or even one world but a war on many many worlds.

There reaction to Yoda taking out his lightsaber to duel Dooku, brought me back to the first time I ever saw it in theaters. I was a kid and just an average fan of Star Wars, and at that moment, when Yoda took out his lightsaber, the silent fixated audience went BERSERK with roaring cheers and applause, it was like an eruption. I'll never forget it. I realized for the first time how special this story was to people. I became a lifelong fan that day.

The dynamic between Anakin and Obi in the first act is so well done it just makes me want more. Like they should create a series just about their adventures between episodes 1 and 2. Anakin saved Obi's life a bunch of times right? It would be great to see some of those times as well as just that cool dynamic of overly talented prodigy student and his master who is like his brother and who initially started the training out of a promise but eventually came to really love ani. Their banter and their skill means you could put them up against literally anything and they could handle it in a fun way

There are quite a few books and a few tv series that go deep into their relationship. You'd do well to check them out I'd say. Many of the books are for children/young adults but for simple lore and engaging with the characters they should do the job, they're canon(the canon that matters). All of the clone wars shows go into this as well. And i can't forget the comics, which err on the side of Young Adult to Adult(somewhere in between) and are great storytelling.

@@thedappermagician6905 Thanks I'll look into the books. I have read a few star wars novels and enjoyed them. But as a side note I don't think clone wars tv show counts. Its a great show but I was talking about adventures from when Obi wan was actually training Anakin and he was still pretty young. But yeah, hopefully some of the novels you mentioned show some of the times he saved Obi's life.

The reason why Jar Jar's wearing higher class clothes is because, after the Battle of Naboo, he was promoted to representative and the critters Jango Fett used to try and kill Padme are called kouhun, a highly venomous species of arthropod native to the planet Indoumodo (look it up in the Wookiepedia) and Obi-Wan's a lot more like a big brother to Anakin P.S. Our villager friends seem to have adventures through movies and I love how their jaws keep dropping! P.S.S. The 'crab' is actually an acklay, an insectlike reptile from Vendaxa, the red bull-like beast is a reek also reptilian from Ylesia, and the catlike beast is a nexu from Cholganna (like I said, look it up) plus this movie is the start of a long three year war called the Clone Wars (the cartoon series tell us a lot about what happened during that time period btw) which happens before Revenge of the Sith but I'm giving no spoilers for what's gonna happen in the third movie and Yoda was 870 years old (basically an old man and was nowhere near a kid) at the time this one and ultimately lived up to 900 by the time of the sequel movies Note: Sorry for the rant
