Almost did a Chernobyl there buddy. Kept fighting the xenon poisening by pulling the rods and then suddenly the reactivity spiked. If left uncontrolled that would have caused a potential meltdown. Luckily your rods don't have graphite tips.

I know exactly what you mean, brilliant that you picked up on it... might be a good video to come back to in the future to see what would have happened if I didn't shut down 🤯🤔🤪

@@ShArPy1o1Games Yeah i studied the Chernobyl accident extensively. So when i see it happening i immediately recognize it.

Admit valves are actually valves A4,B4,C4. You can control their position and check that they are yellow on the valve control graph if not at 100% open 8:18

Yeah I never knew that was a thing that it showed on the valve panel... really cool addition 👌

sharpy i have the memory of you opening that Valve in the filter and never close it again (it was some episodes ago)
@ShArPy1o1Games2 ай бұрын
I feel that way too on a couple things, ive seen myself do it but never reset... nothing is cut out or edited in a way that doesn't show the viewer... anything I do in game, I show you 😇👌🤪

I think the high poisons are because your reactor power is very high for the power you are taking out. You were on the right track closing the turbines admit valves, power falls because now less steam is coming through but once is close enough to build pressure the turbines generate way more power. For 7500 kW per turbine I have the admit valves at about 30/40%. But at the power you have now probably you get to the 60/65 bar optimal pressure with 50/60 % admit valves I guess, and power will be over 10000 kW per turbine so you can have lower reactor power and less poisons creation at the same temperature so same xenon burning
@ShArPy1o1Games2 ай бұрын
And that can be done while operating at stable output...? 65% on the admit valves and should be good mostly... I'll have to test further but my 1st test didn't go so well as you saw
@robodjvalley2 ай бұрын
@@ShArPy1o1Games yes but it's easier if you do it as you start up since to get optimal pressure the steam admit valves need to be within 2/3 % of the right opening and if yo close too much and over pressurize the power will spike up very high potentially damaging the transformers/resistors and/or disconnecting from the grid

@@ShArPy1o1Games update: I was testing with 2 loops and it's more difficult to balance iodine production and heating rate: if you go too slow the iodine accumulates a lot ( even if gamma iodine is very low) before you heat up and you need to slowly pull the rods to the point you get very high poisons. But if you go too fast then you get high iodine from the start. I think the sweet spot is about 10.3/10.4 reactivity initially, then at 220/240°C lower it to 10.1 or less. I also found a bug in the steam generators, if the pressure goes too high it then drops to less then 1 bar for a few minutes, until temp is lowered, then it goes back to operational levels. It's almost as if there was a safety relief valve, but when this happens there's no drop in the SGs level

I need help. For some reason, the "Internal Primary Pump" won't work. Whenever I switch it on, it flashes yellow and red. I also can't fill the "Primary Circuit Coolant Tank".
@ShArPy1o1Games2 ай бұрын
That's due to your coolant tank being empty or completely full... your feedwater pump fills your Internal coolant vessel and your core pool water switch is to fill the external core vessel
@headcrabdroidking2 ай бұрын
@@ShArPy1o1Games turns out, I'm just retarded and wasn't reading the instructions on the exact same panel that the switch was on, that tells you how to fill the tank. I apologize for my incompetence.
