There were only two options here, a variant of Cap, or Johnny Storm, and Storm was far more likely if you remember that Chris said he wouldnt return unless it was for a good reason, basically he could have returned to be a hydra version of Cap but they gave a nod to that already in Endgame so its not likely, and this being Fox oriented...

Please don't put The Cruz Brothers in here, they really fuck it up because they don't care in the slightest, particularly the one on the left. Not everybody needs to be a screaming fanboy, not at all, but that dude single handedly shits on every one of these Deadpool compilations he's in. I went over to their channel just to see if it was all that bad, & he even admitted he doesn't give a shit about any of the movies, jumped right in with Deadpool 3 as his first with the explicit intent to just get attention.
