I love the fact that it's Vader's memory. It plays very well with the episode, but also (to me) shows that there's a piece of Vader that actually misses his times with Obi-Wan. The guy was the closest thing to family he had, while he was Anakin. And Vader can morph those memories into fuel for anger. I don't think it's crazy to think that Vader could be reflecting on his past times. After all, his whole arc is that there's good still in him. Just the only one that could reach it is Luke. Even when he took on Ahsoka, a bit of his past self resurfaced there. So happy Obi-Wan memories are definitely something he can have.

@@James-ov5kg there aren't two personalities, Vader is very much Anakin, he just says he's Vader and totally separate because if there is anything he hates more than anything, it is himself, for betraying the Jedi, losing Padme, losing everything he had, sure in ROS he hates obi-wan because he had just been consumed by the dark side but later on as Vader he hated obi-wan, not because of Mustafar but because obi-wan reminds him of what he was, what he could have been, etc, by killing obi-wan he believed he could let go of the past, but he couldn't. Vader's anger and hate allowed him to use the Darkside so proficiently came from hating himself, hence Vader would not exist if he had truly let go of Anakin. So no Vader isn't separate from anakin.

Seemed like they shared the memory through most of it. Regardless of what’s transpired they’re always brothers, Vader really wanted a saber duel with Kenobi once he saw the troopers slashed up.

It felt like I was watching the prequels again after such a long time. I grew up with the og trilogy too but the prequels is what really got me into Star Wars. An emotional day that was

people finally can take and deal with the fact that the prequels did for us 10 year olds back in 1999, the same thing "a new hope" did for the 1st gen of fans. hayden is the real face of the prequels, he is the main skywalker character in those films. he means to us more than people can imagine and he knows that, hayden knows that the hate he got was NOT from prequel kids because we adore those movies. and now I hope he is more or less in confidence to come back and play anakin one more time in ahsoka.

@@metro25production I think you nailed it. I'm a new comer to star wars... starting from episode I in the cronologic order is really enjoyable. Already watched EP I and II and really loved how the actors tried bringing good emotions to the characters. Of course there are somethings that happens that for me doesn't make much sense, like in some of the fightings... But even so I don't get why the hates where focused on the actors, instead of the writing...

Funny, it wasn't until watching this I noticed that Anakin is looking out at the building Padme's apartment is in. What's cool tot think about is, given the timeline, they probably have either just received or are fixing to receive their assignment to protect her. And then seeing how this transpired here, gives a little extra reason as to why Anakin was so eager to find out who was trying to kill Padme and make up for what happened here by trying to prove himself. I mean, I totally get he was doing that because he's headstrong and has feelings for Padme, but this is a cool thought as well.

My Dad watched the OG Trilogy with his Dad my Grandpa Back in the Theaters. He did the same with me we watched the Prequel Trilogy together. Seeing Ewan and Hayden together again is a Nostalgia Trip to my Childhood. I got tears in my Eyes. I miss the Old Days😊

I just got home from being in the hospital Bd got to watch this episode. I thought I'd end up right back there after watching it and the only thing that makes me sad is that we aren't able to experience each of these episodes together in the cinema. I remember being heartbroken when I was young and leaving the theater after watching revenge of the sith knowing that the story was finished. I rewatched episodes 1-6 recently and in my opinion in attack of the clones Hayden’s acting wasn’t that bad it was the script (mainly scenes with padme god I cringe so hard). I’m 19 so I wasn’t there when they released obviously, but I read A LOT of Hayden hate and honestly the only “bad” scenes were with padme imo. The script just made it feel unnatural and made anakin seem weird. I think Hayden did a good job especially in the scene when his mom you know 💀. I felt the emotion and hate anakin had in that moment. I’ve been seeing some people start to agree with this, but you can definitely disagree with me because the acting is very memey In episodes 2-3, but the serious moments hit for me at least.

In my opinion the prequel haters are those who grew up with the og trilogy. I grew up with the prequels (2004) since I'm a 2000s kid and the adults who were watching these films back when they came out are the ones who probably were hating on it. This series didn’t need saving. It was going at a decent pace. The various chase scenes were questionable in terms of logic, but it’s not new from SW. That being said, this episode was the payoff from the various teasing of Hayden coming back as Anakin.
