Since so many of you have suggested that a better way to begin my journey into the MCU is to watch the movies in the release date order, that's what I'll be doing from now on! Thanks for letting me know. I'm watching these movies on Disney+ and they have an area that lays out all the movies in chronological order. Originally, I thought that would be the easiest way to dive into the MCU...turns out it's not! Thankfully, Captain America is still part of Phase One so I'm not too off track ✨ Thanks for being a part of this journey! ✨
@JSSTyger Жыл бұрын
Captain Marvel, for example was released in 2019 but it takes place before many of the films and you would not get the references to the older films. Release date order is the best way to go.

So glad to hear you are switching to release order. Subscribed.
@firegod001 Жыл бұрын
Good points here. Also, just look at the end of this movie. It's right before The Avengers. Jumping forward in our time to go backwards in their time, going to the 80s to watch Captain Marvel is kind of weird. I do understand that you're in a difficult situation now and have to bounce around a little. You'll get back into the groove. Another good reason to watch these movies in order of release is the extra scenes in the end credits. They always make sense in order of release, and never in so called chronological order.
@fullmoonprepping4024 Жыл бұрын
That is very wise of you! Marvel released them in the order the full story follows. Those that think the chronological order is the way to do it are misguided . . . . . after watching the entire 24 movie list then maybe as a fanboy/chic it would be cool but on first watch release order is totally necessary

Yup. It's like the opposite of watching a Zack Snyder "Superman" movie; with one line, they reassure you that they know what they're doing, that they know who the character is.
@quiett6191 Жыл бұрын
@@SchulzEricT Thats a great point. I've heard people say that doing "boyscout" characters in this day and age would never work. Snyder seems to agree with this, so he writes the most iconic boyscout comic character of all to be all dark and broody. Meanwhile Marvel absolutely nails the trope with Captain America. He's literally the text book "aspirational character" that Superman was. Even before his transformation, he's shown to be brave, smart, selfless, perseverant, idealistic and shows a toughness that belies his small stature. To be fair, that did depend on who was writing him, Whedon just couldn't seem to pull it off, making Cap out to be a boring square of a person. But in this one, and inthe Russo's portrayal of him, Cap's arcs are interesting. By pitting his values and principals against a world that held them to be pase, they were able to craft interesting stories for him. This is why Steve Rogers as Captain America is my favorite MCU character by far

The "watch in release order" thing has been beaten to death (I side with them too, by the way, lol), but make sure to watch until the very end of the credits on every movie... nearly all of them have a scene that ties into a future movie (usually the next one, which is a big reason why release order is important). Some reactors miss them from time to time and it's kind of heartbreaking, lol (If you missed the one for Captain America, don't worry cause it's literally just a trailer for the first Avengers movie, lol).

5:11 Right there in front is Jenna Coleman, from “Doctor Who” and “Victoria.” 6:04 Bravo - most reactors who do Marvel don’t seem to recognize him. 13:09 In the comics, it’s acknowledged that Wolverine was the result of continuing efforts to recreate the original Super-Soldier, Captain America. Wolverine’s code name was Weapon X, but that isn’t a letter X, it’s a Roman numeral - Captain America was Weapon I, and presumably there were Weapons II through IX, with various degrees of success. I agree with the other comments saying to watch in release order. Just to give an example, the end credits scene for this movie is just an early trailer for the first Avengers movie - and unless you’ve seen Iron Man I and II, Incredible Hulk, and Thor, that movie would make no sense to you.

19:25 "When were bullet proof vests invented?" Not until long after WWII. The closest thing available during this war was the vest for airplane crews that could sometimes stop slow moving metal fragments caused by exploding flak. Bullets go right through those vests. Also, they were so heavy that most military aviators sat on them instead of wearing them. Side note: bullets also go right through the metal helmets soldiers wore in WWII. Those helmets were not to protect from direct bullet hits, but rather from falling junk from collapsing buildings or nearby explosions, or maybe a glancing bullet that only grazes the helmet instead of hitting it, uh, head on.

People would bring tomatoes, usually ones that were too rotten to eat, and throw them at the person being punished. It was almost considered to be part of the punishment. Occasionally, somebody going to a theater would bring a bad tomato in case the performance was bad. Likewise for public speeches. Yes, it means planning ahead and bringing the tomato just in case it's bad, but some people actually did that. It was most prevalent in the 19th century and I'm not sure anybody was doing it by the 1940s, but then again, these guys are in Italy so maybe the tradition was more lively there.

I can’t remember ever seeing Hugo Weaving in a film where he uses his own accent

Love the reaction and can't wait to see your journey through the MCU in timeline order. Like some people have said, the mid and post credit scenes can contain spoilers for upcoming movies but with a little guidance you should be able to bypass major spoilers. If you haven't watched Captain Marvel yet you can skip the mid-credit scene and go right to the end of the movie to the post credit scene. If you have a friend that's seen all the films they should be able to tell you which scenes to skip in which movies. You could also go back and watch them at the appropriate times. There won't be too many scene's you'd have to skip, maybe three or four.

FYI: the old man in the mausoleum was Filch from Harry Potter. Also Red Skull assistant is Toby Jones who was Dobby also of Harry Potter.

Funny you should mention Wolverine's procedure, as that itself was a direct continuation of the program Captain America went through. Wolverine was Weapon X, while CA was Weapon I.

"What if something was alive in there? Can you imagine being the first person inside?" We refer you to that other classic movie involving isolated snowbound landscapes and wrecked spaceships. "The Thing."

Okay you have a new subscriber I just watched Deadpool and the way you watch movies as if it's like a cartoon like cars or toy story with child like wonderment is hilarious and the fact that you keep track of all the characters in the story lines and the plots , because sometimes with these other reactors u wonder did you even watch the movie but you seem to care about all the details and continuity and that is really cool

Jacqueline, you’re an instant STAR ⭐️!!! .. loved you immediately.. well done .. in a YooToob world filled with so many unwatchable “reactors” .. you’ve got the “it” factor .. it can’t be faked. Great to be on board with you.

Before Johann Schmidt shows himself to the audience as Red Skull, there's a scene where he's having his portrait painted. He himself is backlit so you never see his face, but we can tell from the reaction of the painter and Dr. Zola that something is very wrong. What's much more subtle is if you look at the palette the painter is using, there's way too much red there to be painting a normal human portrait. I didn't know what it meant when I first watched it, but I do remember thinking, "that's a whole lot of red".
