fun fact: Mamamoo refused to perform the whole song live because it made them cry during the recording and they're afraid that they'll cry when they sing it live, especially Hwasa our sensitive queen. I just started bawling my eyes out listening to hello mama, I've never heard it before today it's so beautiful and it makes me sad because right now I work at Kroger so I'm exposing myself everyday/putting myself at risk so my mom only lets me come by to get food she made for me and I can't stay at her house or even touch her or hug her and so it really made me cry because I really miss being able to do that... This whole thing going on right now needs to end.

Every time I listen to Hello Mama I feel like it's a voicemail message they're leaving to their mom. They were walking down the street at like two in the morning and missed their mom, so called her in the hopes she'd pick up but she didn't, so they're just talking to a disembodied idea of their mom without any response. The song feels very lonely.

I agree, i lost my mom around the time the album came out and when i played this song i couldnt help but cry my eyeballs out, it has this really heavy feeling of loneliness and loss for some reason. One of my dearest song of Mamamoo.

Hello Mama is probably the most sentimental song I've ever heard in Kpop. Every time I listened to this song, I started to get a gut wrench in my stomach and I can almost feel my eyes welling up. They handled this tribute to mother with sensitivity and emotion to make you swell with feelings, and Moonbyul proved that she's capable of being a full time vocalist.

I think it's really interesting how they used that Christmas-y sounding part in I'll Try and I think it was intentional. I know this isn't the case for everyone, but if you celebrate Christmas, it's a very family focused holiday. I think it was intentionally added for a sense of nostalgia; Christmas mornings as a kid and then coming home to your mother for the holidays.
