The thing with other artists, in my opinion, is that when they hit high notes or harmonize they usually use it just to show their vocals (which is not bad), but Day6 use all their resources to showcase emotions. And that's powerful.

So I have this theory(?) that everyone has at least two Day6 songs that are specifically "yours": 1) the EveryDay6 song for your birth month and 2) that one song that feels like they opened up your soul, looked inside, and wrote down what they saw there. This is that second one for me. Add to that the heartbreakingly gorgeous vocals AND the fact that Gravity is a super special album to me since it was my first (and only, so far) Day6 concert, and this song never fails to get me emotional. And yes, it's so, so, so good live! Thank you so much for reacting to it! With all sincerity, I actually kind of needed to cry a little today.

"I'm feeling a lot of things right now" - about every Day6 song ever. 6:16 same dude, same. 7:10 What Henry said about the octave jumps... I think Day6 is REALLY GOOD at creating melodies that fit the emotions of the lyrics, especially ones of catharsis or "outpouriness." The first examples that sprung to my mind were Somehow (the leap to the D5), I Would (basically the whole song, but especially where Sungjin pounds the chorus with "dashi hanbeon geuttareo" accentuated by the drum hits, and where Young K does the whoOOOOOOooo up to the F5 at the end), Still (like Kevin said). Love the breakdown about the major shift in the bridge and using the falsetto to highlight vulnerability too. 15:30 was golden.

Jae has been starting a conversation on mental health and what I love is their music shows that too. They spread this awareness for mental health, and it reminds me of BTS in a way. I just kind of went back here randomly but I just realised the heavily filtered voices they use in the intro, syllables barely distinguished. Then they use it later in the song as the lyrics becomes more and more vulnerable, but this time the syllables are clearer (this is when I realised those are actually words). It feels like a “cover” that’s slowly chipping away and at the verge of breaking down.
