When he enlisted, I only started listening to Kpop and Day6 were the only ones i listened to so it was my first time an Idol had to enlist. He'll do well, solo album and he'll be with Sungjin. It's mad how Day6, EOD and Young K all released albums this year, he's been working hard this year.

Not sure if anyone noticed, but girl was in a cool tone right before the boy "died/closed eyes". When he wakes again, the girl was in a warm tone, with cool-toned background. Has the girl transcended beyond reality? It has gotta mean sth.

idk if it's about transcending reality but the impression i got from that colour change was that the guy had just passed away? another interpretation i saw theorized that the girl was already dead, the guy was about to die and she was there to reunite with him in the afterlife or some sort of dreamlike heaven - hence why his wound is healed after that lighting shift too. it also makes sense for the following chorus to emphasize the idea that "if i lose you" i have nothing, "if i have you" i have everything.

I'd say that the part after the footprints belongs to the girl's imagination. The filter makes the scene looks a bit dreamy, and that the guy turns out to be alright and can even dance with her on the beach seems too good to be true. This works if the storyline is on the girl's pov. But for the afterlife theory it would work if the protagonist is the guy. Actually depends.

Jason's theory about the meaning of the MV started giving me the feels because I think it could be true but there were aspects of other people's theories that also made sense. 😭 I think it's too sad to think that the guy could've been in so much pain in life that he passed away as such--but the theory that there's only one set of foot prints on the beach makes sense or that she's looking at him but he's looking off into the distance as if he feels happy and painfree.

DISCLAIMER: THIS MIGHT MAKE YOU EMO SO I'M SORRY BUT I NEED TO GET THIS OFF MY CHEST So here's my theory about the mv that absolutely no one asked for but I'm gonna share anyway lol I think the mv is meant to represent the mental health struggles that the members (especially Jae and Sungjin) have been going through recently. MyDays all know that Jae and Sungjin had to take a step back from band activities for a while after the release of TBoU: The Demon (that's why we got Even of Day with just Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon). So how this relates to the mv: I think the guy is supposed to represent Day6 and the girl represents MyDays. At the beginning, we see them dancing together at the beach (the location which represents a state of happiness and peace) while the members watch, seemingly content. Then, the mv shifts to the alleyway and we see that the guy is already in a lot of pain but he hides it from the girl in order to keep seeing her happy (or maybe because he's afraid she will leave him if he shows how broken he feels). But eventually it gets too much and he cracks, and she sees the truth. He closes his eyes and sees the beach, but this time there is only one set of footprints in the sand--the girl's. In my opinion, this is meant to show the guy's (and by extension, Day6's) thought process, comforting himself with the thought that the girl can still go on living and find happiness again even if he can't keep going anymore. But the girl doesn't give up on him, just like MyDay didn't give up on Day6. She shakes him awake, pulling him back to reality. The guy lifts up his shirt and shows her the wound, acknowledging his pain openly, and instead of abandoning him it seems like she tells him off for keeping it secret from her and suffering in silence instead of leaning on her and taking time to heal. Then the mv shows them driving again, but this time the saturation is warm, matching the colours of the beach instead of cold colours of the alleyway. This (imo) represents the fact that now he is moving forwards to find happiness again, whereas before he was moving forwards just because he felt that he had no choice, while still carrying all the pain and darkness. So they find their way back to the beach and they dance together like at the beginning. In the final few moments of the mv, the guy looks out towards the horizon (often used to represent the future and hope) with a soft smile on his face, and then we see the members standing in the same spot, also looking towards the horizon, which further confirms in my mind that the guy is supposed to be a representation of them. The End Sorry this was so long, if anyone actually reads this please lmk what you think, I'd love to know if this interpretation of the mv resonates with anyone else 💖

I just love this video, DAY6 doesn't have a bad song. It's interesting to hear the musicians' interpretation and their explanation of how the music and the video are intertwined. Also, I was glad to hear the three theories of the MV, one that is purely metaphorical, the other explains that the character dies and he remembers the moments he had with her, and the last one that it was a joke made with a false blood bag.
