U2 was probably the biggest band in the 80s. Definitely one of them so people would have known them 😂👍👍

I agree, I think it was after Joshua Tree, and those of us who were into music definitely knew who they were. I'm a child of the sixties (in my teens and twenties back then) The Doors, The Band, Jefferson Airplane others were my favorites, but I liked U2 from the moment I heard their songs.

U2 was the biggest band in 1987 when this video was shot in Vegas.

Cool reaction ! Please check out ”Where the streets have no name ”. The police almost paniced. They shot the video from the roof of some store. 👍👍👍💕🇸🇪😎

I went to the U2 show at the Sphere, and it is like nothing (concert wise) that has ever been. I went on 10/18/23, with my dad as a late birthday gift together. We are both fans of U2, and Achtung Bay (the album they are celebrating the shows around) is one of the best EVER. They have truly put the world on notice that U2 is back and ready to build a touring show (of the back of this residency). The venue itself is unworldly. The show was something you could not replicate anywhere else in the world (I couldn’t see a single one off concert or even a few concerts being done, it has to be a 20+ residency to truly understand what the venue offers and does).

Easily my favorite U2 song. Such a great, passionate, yearning melody. I'd say their biggest song is Where the Streets and the better song performed live, so many great versions to react to. Or maybe react to the one where Bono brings up a fan on stage and they lie next to each other, singing a song. Seems like Lulu would go crazy over that one.

Man, that was almost 40 years ago! I still have that CD in my collection. Yes, music was far more spiritual than compared to the garbage we have now. 🙄

How can you say that about all music made today? Lots of garbage came out in 1987 too. You just dont know where to look for new music anymore.

@@goldenhourkodak No, I don't know where this great new music is hiding. Does it compare with this 46 year old South Korean Gospel singer? kzbin.info/www/bejne/eWfMeZtqrqeredE&

@@goldenhourkodak It is easy to say that because it is true. But to enlighten you as to what great singing is, check this woman out. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eWfMeZtqrqeredE&

@@goldenhourkodak And where is this greatly spiritual new music, pray tell? Since "React to the World" doesn't allow anyone to post a link to another video on KZbin I will simply tell you to look up a South Korean Gospel singer named Sohyang and her 2015 performance of "Bridge Over Troubled Water." The hosts of this channel have reacted to her before and will also testify that she is an absolute rarity in this era so barren of great music.

I Still Haven't Found ... 1987 Bono and Adam turn 27 years of age this year while Edge and Larry turn 26. In 2024 Bono and Adam turn 64, Edge and Larry turn 63

What's more American than Vegas? A place you can arrive to, being a nobody, and can rise to the top of the pyramid and have hot women, money, fame? Las Vegas is a microcosm for the American Dream. U2 were famous at this point, they shot this video "guerilla style", knowing that they would draw a crowd they went for a low key filming. Showing up in a couple of vans with the camera crew and the band they shot to a playback on a boombox pushed by a shopping cart! The end of the video, Adam Clayton (bass player, dude with the glasses) was so fed up that he literally jumps in a cab and leaves to go party in Vegas! BTW, they were around 26 at this time!!

It makes no sense to react to songs that you already know. Here are songs that you don't know: Antiguo Dueño De Las Flechas, by Tonolec (official video). Vicio, by Ratones Paranoicos (because the singer also walks over a car). Solos en America, by Miguel Mateos (Album version. Not live. the live is low quality). Continuidad De Lo Indecible, by Sig Ragga (official video). Manuel Santillan El Leon, by Fabulosos Cadillacs (not live) Como Ali, by Los Piojos (official video). Todo un Palo, by Aeropiano (official video).
