The artstyle and the music both are incredible in its own right. Together is pure art.

The two kids aren't in League of Legends, they're two cards from Legends of Runeterra Also standard FPS in most animations are actually 24FPS, but 12 FPS is the standard for stop motion animation. This might've been 18 FPS but I'm not sure, it definitely has a more artsy fartsy animation style tho

Ah, makes sense about the kids. I was trying to look them up and couldn't find anything about them lol! Great insight on FPS too. Thx!

Looks like what they did with the Annie Animation a while back, but built upon it.

Actually you were correct about the animation part. They mixed CG, hand drawing, etc..

I recommend Tenebrix channel, Dinka Kay's knowledge on legends of Runeterra lore is brilliant.

Riot outsources a lot of the cinematics to different animation houses. That’s why they have so many styles.

Wanted to introduce Lulu to a card game. Hearthstone or Runeterra? She's a complete noob when it comes to these kind of games, but I think she would get into them!

Most card games feel daunting at first, but the core mechanics are simple enough to learn but complex enough to allow for a lot of skill expression. Both games are good but as a player who tried both, right now Runeterra is just better and less painful for the wallet :D.

to be fair legends of runterra is in my opinion the most complex and difficult card game out there. but at the same point the most fun, and most rewarding one. they focused on not giving any chance for rng to dominate or change game outcomes to much. so rather you win or loose games, it still feels good in a way that you dont think you had no option of winning due to bad rng outcome. also its the newest card game, which means fresh balance patches and modifications to the game can help new people becoming well more welcome to the game. since new players and the game developer have to make new expierences together. And for the end of my arguing, it has the most and deepest going skill expression i ever saw in a card game, also turns don´t feel boring since you and your enemy always act together all the time. Also there is no strickt metha yet on the game, which leaves new palyers up to have fun while experimenting with new own deck ideas. and it doesnt hurt the wallet bad. On the other hand HS just doesn´t feel good for me right now i palyed it alot, but the fact you won´t be able to win many games and compete to your enemies if your not investing a shit ton of money into legendary cards feels realy bad, and then you still have to copy some of the best metha decks. if your interested in winning by any mean. so you can´t be creative on own deck ideas unless you wanna loose much.

Something you might not know Riotgames' cinematics are done by a different company, the outsource it, not like blizzard who does it all inhouse. You would not know it by the video tho, for example, the KDA video and RISE and the vast majority were done by a french company called Fortiche. This is their site forticheprod.com/ Not to discredit riot of their work though.
