Except there's no way she would have been able to stop mjolnir. She was able to wield the hammer before because it didn't have Odin's enchantment. Although physically super strong characters like Juggernaut have been shown to swat mjolnir away, they still can't lift it. Kurse, who is probably the strongest character we've seen in the MCU, was able to swat it away. Regardless of whether or not an enchantment/spell wanes in the comics, in the MCU, death doesn't negate the enchantment, we saw that with Doctor Strange and Ebony Maw in regards to the time stone. She might have been able to bat the hammer away, but there's no way she would have been able to grab it. She MIGHT have been able to destroy it though through matter manipulation.

For those wondering why Odin died. Odin needs to go thru a process called the "Odin Sleep" where he rejuvenates himself and his powers are restored. Since he was on Earth and away from the Seat of Power he was to weak to continue living. As for Hela she is the Daughter of Loki not Odin. They altered her origin in the film.

I think people forgot about the first film when Odin stripped Thor of all his powers and Mjolnir because he was the heir to the 9 realms. This is why Hela was able to escape Hell, catch Thors hammer and destroy it because she was the firstborn to Odin, she was the heir the second Odin died. So she wasn't worthy, she just had hierarchy over Thors powers.

No, she is the Asgardian Goddess of Death, at incredible power levels, forever linked to Asgard, but Mistress Death was a cosmic entity/goddess whose domain stretched across far more than Hela's dominion of it. Unofficial hot take: Hela would be deleted by Mistress Death, but I'm unaware if they even realize each other's existence properly. I don't recall Asgardians beyond All/Sky-Father(s) that would be familiar, besides Thor's death at Thanos' platform/shrine to Mistress Death in space when he and Earth's heroes fell to the Mad Titan after he acquired the gauntlet in the comics. Even then, she was a beautiful figure hooded/cloaked up and just... a silent non-combatant (at first), so even Thor may be clueless about her, unless they interacted in the two decades that I put down comics for fatherhood.

She either presents herself physically as a shrouded feminine beauty or walking skeleton similarly clothed pretty much. Hela is a governor of Death, while MD is the President, Chancellor, Ambassador, and any higher station accordingly all-at-once. Hela is good at her job of killing and rules a portion of the dead, but MD is the cold truth behind every death no matter who or how powerful. If MD dies, everyone lives.

Hela is extremely powerful in the comics, but even going with the MCU version, there is no way she would have been able to catch the hammer because it is enchanted. Enchantments don't go away just because the person who cast the spell dies, that's evident by Dr. Strange and Ebony Maw in regards to the time stone. She might have been able to deflect the hammer like Kurse did in Thor the dark world, or even maybe possibly destroy it through matter manipulation, but she would not have been able to hold it. All of these characters have been changed so drastically, and most of the comic book MOVIE fans, haven't a clue. For example, in the comics, Odin is missing an eye because he drank from the well of cosmic knowledge. Because of that, he is omniscient, and his eye will never grow back. In the comics, most Asgardians are capable of regeneration, so that means Thor would have regrown his eye.
