Stark and Rhodey's failure to lift the hammer with the aid of technology is an important precursor to this scene. The vision isn't lifting the hammer because he's a machine. He's lifting it because he is worthy.

@michaelccozensАй бұрын
@@randywissler9923 I've heard that theory, and it's interesting to consider, but I can't see it. First, Cap puts way too high a premium on honesty (and correctly so) to lie for such petty purposes, and especially to his friends. He's also the ultimate tactician, and not utilizing an ability like being able to use Mjolnir in the battle against Ultron would have cost lives. Cap's not gonna do that for any reason. Finally, I think the idea undermines a crucial part of Steve's character development, which is handled really well in "Endgame", ie. his determination to stick to his principles even in the face of adversity (which is the only time principles really matter. As Jon Stewart put it, if you only have values when it's convenient, you don't have values; you have hobbies). Cap's bloodlust in the beginning of "Endgame", which is played well for an applause line ("Let's go get this son of a bitch"), is actually a real problem. As with Thor, it's only after Steve is ultimately tested that he becomes worthy.

Remember, Vision is a newborn. He hasn't had time to become corrupted by the mendacity of humanity. So, every intention he has at this moment is pure, therefore making him worthy by the definition of a good man as stated by Odin.

Age of Ultron got a lot of criticism from fans, but honestly, it was a very good movie. The main criticisms that I think have weight are that Ultron was a one-and-done villain that felt under utilized, but that's not something that the writers of this movie could really help.

Mjolnir judged him worthy because it found no darkness in him or his past. And since his life only consisted of the previous few minutes, then hours, there was not much that could have made him unworthy. Vision having the mind stone or being a machine is irrelevant.
@lemonke5713Ай бұрын
except for the fact that none of that is true and it is purely because he is an android that he is able to lift the hammer. vision isn't worthy. he's an android. androids have consistently been shown to be able to lift mjolnir without being able to use its power. this is an example of that. so no, vision being a machine is very much so relevant since that is the sole reason he's able to lift mjolnir.

Vision is not an android or a robot with an AI mind. And it doesn't matter if he was born 6 min ago or 6 billion years. The way he thinks, not his personality, came from Mindstone, and Mindstone is here from the start of the universe. But his thoughts, the way he is, is unique, very different from J.A.R.V.I.S., Ultron or Mindstone, or Stark, Banner & Helen Cho (his creators) He will be worthy forever. About robot issue: a robot is machine created from assembled parts for a specific task. Now you can understand why Vision is not a robot. An Artificial Intelligence is J.A.R.V.I.S. Also Ultron. But Vision is very different. Mind and body, as a whole, no moving parts, or thinking computer program grafed onto a robot. About android issue: an android is a combination of human and machine parts. There are no machine parts in Vision's body, or humans. No body alteration or construct, he was made from one cell to full mature body adding that metal in the process. Was grown, not built. He is a sentient being, not a machine. Vision is probably the most complex character in this world. It's so different from any other being, or entity in that universe, no matter the age, or the way they came to life. It's probably the most difficult to understand, because no one can relate to him. After all, no one else have,or has an Infinity Stone as an integrated part of his body, from the start of his life. I didn't watch (not read, it's not a text) any comics, not Marvel, not any other. I'm not American, in my country we read real books. But I have extended knowledge about this Marvel universe, or DC, for that matter, internet alter/pervert (bad internet! I'll Punisher you) my innocent (!?) academic (oh, really??) mind (you wish!...).
@isaackellogg34938 күн бұрын
A combination of human and machine parts is a cyborg, not an android. An android is a robot built in the shape of a human, and Vision most definitely is in the shape of a human.
@isaackellogg34938 күн бұрын
A robot is not necessarily built for a specific purpose. Most, nearly all robots are, simply because humans are as yet unable to build general purpose robots with no specific purpose in mind, and if they could with present technology, they would be so expensive even Tony Stark could not afford to make one. So it is disingenuous to class Vision as “not a robot” because his assembled parts were not fashioned by human hands or because he was not constructed for a specific purpose. Vision _is_ a robot, a self-moving (“automaton”) machine whose functions in whole or part mimic the functions of a human being. He _is_ an android, a robot in the shape of a human being. Denying that he is a robot because he is made of nanotech instead of transistors is like denying that Tony Stark is alive because he was grown in a womb instead of a lab. Scale does not violate what a thing _is_ , only how it is made.
