@@WOLFPARANORMALUK I tried to explain that the guns were not used as guns much in this encounter, mostly as a thing to hold the bayonets. August 14, Krasnoi. A rearguard deployed there to guard against an encirclement. Between 30 and 40 charges were made, often by the same cavalry unit who had just come back. They kept the cavalry at bay with their bayonets, aided by a small piece of marshy ground and some boastful French officers. Losses among the cavalry were light, indicating that it was not the weapons but the formation that won the day. Also, in the Napoleonic area, guns were not really accurate beyond 50 meters, and took time to reload, so during any charge you had one bullet to fire, and after that it was melee.

The only options once they saw the horsemen were to fight and die while taking as many out as possible, or to run and die, doing nothing but making it even easier for the Dothraki to sweep across the country. The look on Brons’ face when he hears them first… absolutely chilling. I knew they were fucked from his face alone.

I'm over here sitting, thinking to myself "damn how D&D truly fumbled what would've, not could've, been the absolute without a doubt undisputed greatest show of all time" and I tilt myself off of the face of the earth once more

The Dothoraki were like a land mine coming towards Jimmy, and she just added a Missal air strike to the mix

My favourite scene of the show. I always wanted to see the Dothraki in the open battle field.

I guess a modern equivalent would be infantry fighting and an A-10 or AC-130 comes flying in providing air support

probably like russia vs georgia 2008 or US vs Iraq in 2003 total ir superioirty ( but then again that's why the battle in this video is a waste of air superiority )

If only Season 8 never existed. GOT is dead to me.

to say the truth it was dying since season 4 ( when the focus on the "game of thrones" and the political scheming between the great noble families and even some regional ones was taken away , when great noble families of thousend yeas of history were presented as a very small handfull of people )

Watching this over and over makes me wish.....well not WISH but just wonder....if the Lannisters and the Tarlys regret only training in such a rigid, well formed, orderly battle formation. They had no way of expecting the need to train against dragons and Dothraki. But this could have been a much more even battle had they only ALSO had a mobile, Bob and weave, scatter then reform to avoid dragon fire or projectiles. It would be a challenge to work so precisely and with speed. But with enough training it could be done.
