Don’t forget that Arya was trained to use Needle in Braavosi style by one of the greatest swordsman that ever lived: Syrio Forel. And the knife trick was learned from no one.

Yo the guy in the first clip asking when she learned that. She was taught by the first sword of Bravos. He told her to practise. She has been practicing for years at this point. They showed her practicing when she was with the Hound. She was practicing off by herself. She never stopped. They just didn't show it everytime. Same with the faceless men. Also, im sure it is obvious to most that the faceless have special powers which she also picked up on. So yeah. All that combined with her being underestimated explains this scene.

REMEMBER ----- Massie Williams is right-handed -she learned to use a sword left-handed.. That is what makes this fight so impressive.
@patrickevans960418 күн бұрын
All that about "when did they teach her anything?" got me laughing. She trained with syrio on how to fight with needle lol. Several weeks of that and her always practicing the moves in her downtime after is how she got so good

I'm more impressed with the fact that actually Brienne would killed Arya too in that fight and that Arya realized it (that's why she smiled at her like acknowledging how good she is)

It's one of my favorite GOT scenes. Arya had been through hell and back to get home. Taking on Breanne wasn't just to show how great she is to others, but it's also for herself.

The bald guy at the beginning i dont think he paid a lot attention to the show. Noone wasn't her first trainer. She learned the water dance from Syrio Forel, the Hound taught her to be brutal.

I was surprised by him saying that also, and I am pretty sure I commented about it on their channel. But their GoT reactions were really good if you like to watch series reactions.

When they were able to make strong flexible thin swords, large swords went away, except in the front line.

This is the scene that I have most replayed of the entire series. Brienne gets bested, three times, by a nimble, faster opponent. But she finally disarms her and grabs the arm holding the dagger, so Arya just flips it to her free hand! 😮 I couldn’t see the advantage of putting the sword behind her back unless it was so an opponent wouldn’t know which hand was holding the sword. As many times as I’ve watched this scene, this is the first time I noticed that Arya switched hands with Needle too! Most swordsmen (most notably, Jaime) can’t do that. 👏👏👏

I like the theory that when Arya fought the Waif in the dark she was killed and the Waif took her face. That is why she acts like a completely different person because she WAS a different person.
@TimedRevolverАй бұрын
Arya's been all over the place during the show, and given what she's been through, it's entirely understandable. But it can't be the Waif, there are things Arya knows that she wouldn't.
@JollyJeffАй бұрын
@@TimedRevolver I don't think they showed all the times she and the Waif played the Game of Faces. She could have gotten a lot of information out of her with that game.

@@JollyJeff Fan theories are also typically garbage. This one isn't an exception.
@darchangel8675309Ай бұрын
We see the Waif’s face on the wall of faces the last time Arya speaks with Jaqen. Also, Arya speaks directly to Sansa at Winterfell about things Ned said to them, and seeing Ned get killed-two things the Waif would have no knowledge of.
@JollyJeffАй бұрын
@@darchangel8675309 I doubt that we saw every training session that Arya had. So the Waif could have played the Game of Faces many times with Arya and learned all of her secrets. It's possible that "the Waif" was just another false face of a young woman who was killed many years before. "The Waif" could be just another false identity that a Faceless man used to interact with Arya "girl to girl". It's possible that someone hired the Faceless Men to kill the Night King. They knew that they couldn't count on a young girl to kill such a great foe so they had one of their greatest assassins pretend to be the Waif, learn everything about Arya, and then go to Winterfell to complete the mission. Let's be honest, after she left the Faceless Men she was an entirely different person, much more of a badass than Arya was before.
