The saddest death in any super hero movie I've ever seen. My entire family and myself were sobbing when we saw the movie in theaters, even though i knew Gwen Stacey's fate from Spider-Man lore. Hat's off to Mr. Garfield's raw, gut-wrenching performance as well.

And I love how when Gwen hits her head on the ground, the clock hand immediately comes to a stop in the next scene. Her time on Earth ran out. It stopped right there, she died on impact. God this didn't have to make me cry as much as it did.
@lpycb422 ай бұрын
It’s also a nod to the exact time of her death in the comics.

This is a flawed movie but it also did a lot of things right, and this scene was executed perfectly. The visual effects, the score, the editing, and the acting from Stone and particularly Garfield. When the clock stops it shows 1:21, which is a nod to the comic issue in which Gwen was killed. Such a devastating, yet beautiful scene
@eduardomartin8510Ай бұрын
It's probably the best SpiderMan movie so far. I understand people will heavily disagree with me on this but I stand by it. For example people loved NWH, and I get it, but I think people love it just due to the fanservice and not because it's an actually good story, characters and film in general.
@blueroninstudios4 ай бұрын
Sometimes in comics, a characters growth has to be defined by great pain. For Peter Parker, it was Gwen Stacy. I knew she dies in the comics, so I knew the moment was coming because she wore the same green jacket in that famous issue ... and watching this scene I still get a lump in my throat. Andrew Garfield's single greatest acting moment while he held the role. Glad he got the chance to play Spider-Man a third time, and he and MJ had that moment of redemption. 😌❤️

Gwen’s death is definitely one of the saddest in super hero movie history. It’s done so slowly and beautifully and completely stops the action to just let it happen. Same with Vision in Infinity War.

God the sound and visuals of her hitting the ground will always be heartbreaking to me, to me its one of the most brutal scenes in any of the marvel movies. There are more violent scenes when it comes to blood or whatever, but this one specifically is just on a different level.

The scene in Spider-Man No Way Home where Andrew's Spider-Man saves 'No Way Home's MJ was a 'happy tears' moment, but watching this Amazing Spider-Man 2 scene again ramped up the sadness of it tenfold, it hit me really hard, and it probably will continue to do so every time I watch No Way Home from this day forward.

I always thought the back of her head hit the concrete… but apparently it’s her head that snapped? I know that’s what it’s like in the comics, but it definitely looks like and sounds like the back of her head smacked the pavement

I think in the movie she definitely hit her head, but even if she didn’t hit her head, her neck would have snapped. That’s why in the new movie he grabs MJ instead of trying to reach out with a web because he learned.

They were originally going to make more films in fact there was going to be a whole Cinematic Universe based on Andrew's Trilogy we would have had films like The Amazing Spider-Man 3 and the Sinister Six however the only reason that didn't happen is because Marvel made a deal with Sony to put Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe because they were originally going to have a big worldwide event announcing the next Amazing Spider-Man film however Andrew got too sick to do it and he ended up leaving as soon as he got there so what does Sony do they decide to fire Andrew and make a deal with Marvel to put Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and they casted Tom Holland to play the role but there was originally going to be more Amazing Spider-Man movies

This is 100% Peter's fault, btw. In the comics, it was tragic, but in the movie Gwen's dad's dying wish was for Peter to leave Gwen alone. He said he would then immediately went back on his word. Idc what people think TASM movies sucked and this is one of the many reasons why.
